14 on sale1 answered “not sold”0 we did not ask
The 1 “not sold” market is read from the Steam price pass of Sep 9: that day the store answered for this game elsewhere and gave no price there. The 14 priced markets are the same rows as the table above — each the latest price we hold, dated here when it is older than that pass. The 0 marked “not asked” were not put to this store at all — either it has no storefront there or we do not collect it yet, and neither is a statement about the game. A refusal is a refusal on one day; a store can list a title again tomorrow.

Still the best guitar game bar none. Screw the subscription model they've gone with the new version
Game is fine because it doesn't contain the customer service and upper management of Ubisoft. Ubisoft stole my account claiming I had to prove I was the owner. I gave them receipts and a timeline of my purchases and reward redemptions. They claim it is insufficient proof and that they cannot prove I own the account. A massive Merry Kirkin, and many Luigi's to you Ubisoft
NOTE: This review is from the perspective of a Rocksmith enthusiast with nearly a complete song library. I recognize how silly it is to drop a review of a title older than 10 years and already delisted for outliving its song licensing. This game is awesome and is great to learn songs and to build overall guitar prowess to perform live to hundreds of people. I have nearly all DLC and am building my custom song library. I understand that new users will not have the same experience due to software/song delistings. So, the purpose of review for this game is as it should be. If I were to review it now, as the Learn & Play only available, I would not recommend this. For the reason that UBI is still seeking funds from a game they handicapped to force-migrate users to RS+. Too bad for UBI that they created a game that outlived their interest to keep going, as this game with thrive into the future with its expanding song library and available mods (which are not factored in this review), and community support and song editing tools. I am a late adopter despite getting this at launch, due to a back injury that prevented play for a number of years. I started RS2014 on the PS3 with game/Real Tone Cable bundle, then went to PC for the benefits of the Steam DLC library and custom DLCs. Buying those song packs were pricey but worth it for the permanence on my profile. Guitar setup-wise, I still run this as vanilla as I can, because I don't want to worry about modding too much. The vanilla user experience is adequate, I route my instrument line through a BOSS CE-5 stereo chorus pedal, then split-out one line to the RTC, and the other to my home amp setup. The benefit to this is that my RTC remains static, and tucked away from being abused, preserving its life, while a generic guitar cable takes the abuse plugged into guitar. The best way to experience the game audio is by running an optical cable into your home theater amplifier. So, if you are thinking about the L&L edition, go for it. There are official song packs still available. Just know that RS2014RM won't substitute for a guitar instructor, but it can keep you playing for hours on end. Just know that there are extra steps to getting this software going, but once you do, it can be fun. The best part of this game is noticing your progress from day-to-day playing, and finally nailing that part of that one song at full speed/difficulty that you always wanted to learn! For me, there are few things as fulfilling as expressing yourself playing along to your favorite songs.
Bought it, bought a non-official cable thinking it would work because why wouldnt it? It doesnt work. I need an official 80€ cable to play this game.
I cannot praise this game highly enough. My only knowledge and ability to play or even hold a guitar was the Guitar Hero series that could only mimic the feeling of strumming a melody. Rocksmith has allowed me to take that step from Guitar Hero into playing an actual guitar, and LEARN. I spent hours and hours watching YouTube tutorials, but it doesn't give you that "hands-on" experience that this game gives you. The lessons are absolutely BRUTAL as a beginner, but it teaches you where your hands should be stretching for power chords (also barre chords, but I'm a wimp and haven't gotten to those because I'm not good enough yet). This also brings me to my next point, which is that you always feel like there's another level to progress up to when you're brand new. You start to pick up very small, but important fundamentals like shifting, sustains, HO/POs (hammer-ons and pull-offs) and bends. This then provides you with a framework to start playing what could be considered "easy" songs (with help with the game's brilliant dynamic difficulty setting that you can start from zero and build up to the complete set of notes you need to hit for the full song). I've only just started to successfully hit chords about about 20-30 hours into Rocksmith, which I'm very shocked about considering that I was a complete beginner before the end of last year! You can also install a bunch of custom songs that don't appear in the game via mods, which increases your motivation to play more as you are digging deep into tracks that you love and have a passion for (for example, George Harrison's Set On You that you would otherwise miss out on through lack of DLC). With how diverse and well-contained the process is with Rocksmith 2014, I don't see any need to be paying for a hefty annual subscription for Rocksmith+ to be quite honest. If you're a budding enthusiast wanting to take the same step I did and venture into the land of real rock, that also enjoys kinetic & visual learning - then this is the learning experience for you!
Excellent tool for learning! Having all the tabs, lessons and scales is really useful. Also choosing a song and getting a really close tone to the original feels great. I recommend you try it out with an audio interface and don't forget to check out the CDLC!
This is basically an abandonware. It does not even start. Topics dedicated to rocksmith are necromancy circus with endless dark magic attempts to reanimate this dead body in a different ways. Ubisoft does not care, they just continue being Ubisoft, but do they still not forget to charge you money for DLCs. Buying this game even somehow has negative value.
Decent game but requires a ton of know how to setup. You need: - Audio interface or the useless cable the game comes with(get the interface) - Skills to modify the game to allow you to use your own brand of audio interface - Guitar - Cables for said guitar - Tons of patience for the inevitable troubleshooting Do i recommend it if you get these? Sure. Do i recommend it if you dont really have technical knowhow with computers and audio equipment? NO. Not at all. Its a nightmare to get running.
Ubisoft is a scummy company. Screw your DMCA against Slopsmith. Yo ho ho to the high seas we go!
