20 dollars a month to play meh songs that you don't actually want to play. Had me install, go through a tutorial, choose songs that I liked, then said "oh yeah btw it costs 20 a month to play those super fun songs you just chose! but heres some free ones" the free ones were twinkle twinkle little star, happy birthday, some random assassins creed song, and amazing grace. What an absolute kick in the nards to anyone who played RS2014. it was a 30 dollar game that came with like 100 songs, plus the dlc's. One time purchase for a ton of fun. This is just an absolute pathetic cash grab. Also the latency im getting in game using my scarlet interface is awful. I have 0 latency in RS2014 using a community made mod to let me use my interface, this game has base support for interfaces yet the latency is god awful
This is a joke, right? I just downloaded this ♥♥♥♥ and every fcking 10 seconds server lost connection ... Make this game without internet priority if you can't fix this.

seems all the issues are still there that everyone talks about there is really nothing you can do without paying at least 20 a month i feel steam is doing a disservice by saying this game is free. it should have some form of community note on it saying with in app purchases or something. waste of 30 mins in here trying it out. kept disconnecting every 30 seconds or so.
I’ve had a really frustrating experience with Rocksmith. The constant connection issues make it almost unusable. I keep getting disconnected repeatedly, and there are errors every time I try to use it. It also feels like I’m always being forced to reconfigure settings just to get it running again, which is extremely annoying. On top of that, the email login fails constantly, and I often can’t even get into my account without multiple attempts. Even when it does connect, it doesn’t stay stable for long before dropping again. Overall, the app feels unreliable and poorly optimized. Instead of focusing on actually learning or playing, I spend most of my time troubleshooting connection and login problems. Definitely disappointing.
Well over 1,000+ hours in RS2014 here. This version is cool and it does have some things going for it that the other negative reviews aren't mentioning, such as pitch shifting your tuning so you can play D and C standard songs with a physical E tuning, drop tunings in other pitches, etc. The capo works better in this one as you won't have to fine tune your strings to make it work like the previous iteration. I like how responsive the game is and it doesn't crash as much as the other one. Obviously, it's live service which means no custom DLC and that's a bummer. The music selection is diverse but almost too much so. Why is a solid like quarter of the library music that is Hispanic? Why are there so many one off pop songs or country songs and so many missing rock and metal ones? The bass emulation just doesn't work for me and to be fair, I don't see an option in the game describing it as such. Like, it will pitch shift my guitar to sound correct but the game will not pick up any notes like it did in 2014. The $20 per month price tag is far too much. Get 2014 if it's still viable with CDLC or the upcoming Feedback app.
Too many server issues. Literally unplayable
We all know how bad this game and the company behind it is so I'm not going to echo all the negative reviewers with the same experiences as I had, it's the same, they literally stole my money for the first month, I dumped it after that but, the reason for my review is to hopefully help other RS players that are sick of this BS ! Here's what I did and to be honest, it's actually better than 2014, go check out TonLib Jam, People, it's FREE ! and it flawlessly plays all your favs from 2014 and anything on Customs Forge. Same note system and more features than RS had, their GFX rack is killer and it works natively with most popular digital interfaces, I used the Scarlett 2i2, plugged it in setup inputs and outputs and BAM it just worked, no ridiculous real tone cable that glitches all the time. I'm telling you for most players, this is the best way to use RS charts. You can repeat sections , speed up and slow down, they have a whole community that makes tones , just search for the tone you want, dld it and boom, you got it. Sorry if this has been mentioned in these, but I absolutely love it and just wanted to share.
This game is absolutely terrible. You go through the long set up process, pick songs you want to learn and they then won't let you play any of them until you get their premium subscription membership. Hey Ubisoft, suck my left and right ones, and the long one hanging down the middle.
♥♥♥♥♥♥ hate this, as a guitarist, this is just a subscription based game do nto waste you money or time. litterally paying to play. ♥♥♥♥♥♥♥ awful.
Great demo, if only it wasn't a monthly subscription for access to 99% of the content. I'll happily wait for Slopsmith to come back :)
