Played this on my ps4 as a kid. I'm neutral but I lean on no. The procedural generation is lame and a lot of the mechanics are lame. It has a LOT of objects you can interact with, and a manual to learn everything. The issue being that I'm not reading 213 summaries for items. In general this game suffers from bloat. I didn't care for the poetry. The only cool part is rescuing the kids, it feels pretty cute.
Probably where cool pussle game for its time, but feels a bit outdated imo.
A moral do jogo é: Pra aposentar vale a pena sim abandonar crianças no frio até a morte. [é uma piada pfvr] 10/10
Read pretty much any other negative review, and you'll have the same from me. It gets both frustrating and boring, which together are the death knell for any game. The fact that a losing scenario takes several more rounds of trying and failing before the game has the good graces to actually kill you and force a restart is baffling. It is adorable, and the opening couple hours were enjoyable, but roguelike/procedural generation games are supposed to encourage repeated play, but in this case it actively hinders the game.
I will always respect this game for kindling my love of Robert Frost poems. As far as the puzzles go, it's hard for me to recommend. The rng constantly changes the puzzles, which is fine.. unless you're bad at thinking on the spot and keeping track of several rules at the same time. I can't imagine doing the timed events in later levels. I got okay at the game when I first got it, but it misses one key aspect for good replay value. You have to relearn everything if you step away from the game for too long. Which isn't an issue I personally have with most roguelikes. Games like Hades or Monster train are easy to step back into because the rules are either obvious or written on every card as a reminder. You don't have to go to the menu or a wiki to relearn everything. No replaying a tutorial just to be able to do the first level again. If you could just right click puzzle pieces to access all the info you already had that would be wonderful, but you can't. Menu hopping just isn't a fun way to play a game, it's like trying to learn a board game that you only get to play solo. None of that would be an issue if the game wasn't so unforgiving. You have to know what you're doing at all times or you will make mistakes. I know these issues won't change because it's an old game. There's no more updates that will come and I get that. I wish I had the patience to come back to this game and play it properly, but at the end of the day I've outgrown it. My taste in games has changed and even though I loved this game I've moved on. The atmosphere was always special to me. It could do a lot with very little. It's why I always wanted to come back to it. If the game still has sales maybe give it a go, but keep in mind it's a bit clunky from age.
Cute little puzzle rogue-like which delightful visuals, cute little story, and a difficulty curve. It doesn't quite keep me engaged but for puzzlers I'm sure its worth a look.
Die Erklärungen sind leider einfach mangelhaft, man ist so schnell frustriert.
I love this game.
Divertido, com um design fofo e muitas histórias diferentes podem ser criadas, conforme são feitas escolhas. É cheio de surpresas.
Головоломка для детей топ.
