A chill little puzzle game featuring the internet's favorite animal and the reason why not more vegetarians are vegans. You're a cat cube tasked with pushing cheese cubes around. Completely ridiculous, I love it! Honestly, I thought I'd get a laugh out of my review key and move on. I don't even like Sokoban puzzles much. And yet here I am, three hours later. Telling you to check this game out because it's actually good. Not perfect, but I definitely enjoyed myself. The puzzles are built into a fun little world with optional dialogs for a good amount of (cheese) flavor. The soundtrack is pleasantly upbeat but chill. Unlockable cosmetics are a nice touch. What's missing is an explanation of how to actually "clear the cheese". I had no idea what to do and almost gave up. Once I'd figured out the principle, though, it was surprisingly satisfying. As a very casual player with a semi-working brain, I found the difficulty just right. You unlock new levels and areas by collecting tokens. Sometimes I had to redo levels in fewer steps to progress further, but I found it forgiving enough. I never figured out how to strategize for the "boss levels" where you have to face-plant onto the final button (LOL??), so I just rolled around until I got it right... I liked the level design. There was a bit of variety in environments and mechanics, but not overwhelmingly much. Other than a little tutorial, this game sorely lacks an option to limit fps, and an undo function. A credits roll after de-cheesing all locations would have felt good (credits are available from the menu). I also had NPC cats' last dialog lines disappear after a split second a couple of times. So I think this game deserves a bit more polish, and apparently the devs are looking into issues. Still recommended for fans of casual puzzle games already!
An cozy cheese and cat (fascinating combo) themed Sokoban-like. Starts out quite easy but the difficulty ramps up. Pick it up for some chill evenings
I received this game for free in exchange for an honest review. Lost in Cheese is a cute little puzzle game that does exactly what it says on the tin. Levels are short and bite-sized, progression feels balanced, and there's a handy option to skip levels if you get properly stuck which I appreciated. I played it on Steam Deck and it runs without any issues, so no complaints there. That said, it does have a strong mobile game energy. The visuals and UI are fairly basic, and the levels are the kind you blast through in quick sessions. That's not necessarily a dealbreaker, but it's worth knowing what you're getting into. If this were a free app on your phone, it'd feel right at home. For what it is, it's a pleasant enough way to spend some time. Just don't go in expecting anything that'll stick with you.
It was a lot of fun but CHEESUS CHRIST! devs, add an Undo/Redo please, you could always add it on to the moves, hitting restart after 20 moves is infuriating, when you realise you made just one wrong move! Cute, Colourful, Cozy and fun little puzzle game otherwise that I awarded GamerPauly Says... GET YA MONEY OUT! P.S.. Do a demo as well, at least the starter world would be cool! Also awarded GamerPauly`s Game of the Month (May 2026) https://gamerpauly.wordpress.com/2026/06/05/gamerpaulys-game-of-the-month-may/
Cozy casual Sokoban puzzler where there's added incentive for completing levels in optimal moves. There's little going on for mechanics or crazy design, but if you're looking for a pleasant afternoon it'll be suitable. I admittedly wish there was a bigger focus on mixing up the puzzles as sometimes a lot just feel like minor variations of each other; at the same time it could probably use more quality-of-life features like faster movement on direction press, or an undo button.

A very cute, cozy, relaxing, Sokoban puzzle game. Very polished, not meant to give you a splitting headache but instead just a relaxing puzzle game. I wouldn't go as far as to say it's an easy game. It incrementally gets harder as you progress, but it finds the right balance as to not make the player feel frustrated. It's an incredibly well-balanced Sokoban. With graphics being cute and polished, a good and relaxing soundtrack and a well-balanced difficulty progression pace, it’s just the right recipe for a great game. Perfect game to just unwind and clear your mind. Be it from a difficult or exhausting day, or just because. I'd say this is a great hidden gem. It was fun and relaxing all at the same time. This is all coming from someone that generally doesn't like Sokoban games at all. I was genuinely impressed by this game and its ability to retain my attention and enjoyment for more than an hour on just my first impression. I adore this game - if you like little puzzle games to relax this is for you! I remember a similar game I loved when I was a kid, about being a rectangle and you had to roll specific ways to fit into the goal at the end, I lost track of it but I still think about it often because of how much I enjoyed it. I was SO happy to be able to play this game and it reminded me of it and I had the best time! The difficulty is just right for everyone, with the system being forgiving enough to allow you to complete the level using as much time and moves as you need, but as you progress, you might need to revisit from levels you could have done better on to get enough points to open the next area down the road. I find this to be a really nice balance for those who do and don't want a challenge to squint at! This is def a game I will continue to play when I just want a fun relaxing but still challenging puzzle. This is a game I play while just having a nice chat in the vc with my friends while we do different things. I haven't tried it on steamdeck, but I may in the future, I would 100% play this as a mobile game, so I would likely enjoy the freedom and comfort of playing it on the deck! The only real issue I ran into was optimization. My community and I joke about how much I actually love cheese, so being able to play a puzzle game about cheese just made it that much better! I am very grateful for the chance to play this game with how much I loved it and will continue to love it, thank you!
If you enjoy cozy puzzle games with a charming atmosphere, Lost in Cheese looks like a surprisingly promising indie title. The game combines classic Sokoban-style puzzle mechanics with a colorful world full of cats, cheese, and lighthearted humor. You play as Mewton, a cube-shaped cat, solving puzzles by pushing cheese blocks and clearing paths to go to the red buttons. Every movement has to be strategic and efficiency. If you prefer fast action, combat, or story-heavy games, you may lose interest quickly. Red levels are very difficult, trying to look at the red stone to finish the level…
A cute and fun puzzle game. Short levels, easy to progress and I like that you can skip hard levels if you get stuck. Played it on steam deck, works well. Overall a fun little puzzle game that offers a well balanced progress and challenge
