I absolutely love this game. The protagonist Faye is great. My favorite lady is Kika though, I just adore her self centeredness- I hope I can ship her and Faye, time will tell. Anyway, I am loving the story, I am extremely happy with my purchase. Awesome game, the choices I have been presented with so far have very interesting consequences. The storytelling is masterful, all the characters are vibrant and complex, very diverse and interesting. Excellent game. Very strongly recommend it, I am glad I found it while browsing here on steam.
Like happened with Rising Angels: Reborn, I also have mixed feelings towards Hope; Faye isn’t a terrible or great character. She can be cute, but kinda annoying sometimes especially with the “arrruuuu” thing. The art style was good, together with BGM. I liked the fact that Kika and Sol are present, so I could read more about them. The authority problem still persists: military acting like little kids. I can understand that coming from Kika, but it can become somewhat annoying to see other characters acting like that too. That’s just my opinion, though. 5/10, get it on a good sale if you enjoyed Reborn.
simple question: is the amount of content and quality worth 15 bucks? almost, but no. wait until the price drops a bit or if its on sale, but as it stands? the price is bullcorn. if youre into visual novels of a similar outfit as this, check out Brilliant Shadows. just as much content with a more interesting story at half the dangum price. pass this one by.
The wait for Rising Angels: Hope to release was... WORTH IT! Rising Angels: Red Rose (the first part of Rising Angels: Hope) was absolutely amazing but was pretty sad when it ended halfway. But, I preferred the art style for the characters in RIsing Angels: Red Rose but don't let this put you down because the story is amazing. 10/10 would recommend
I really liked the first game, this one not so much. While I get the idea of the characters, I can't help getting worked up due to the writing, the situations, and their conclusions. They're simply bad. Every single character is annoying to a point where I cant handle it anymore. Im out for now. Cant play it. Not good for my health. Almost smashed my keyboard several times. Blood pressure rising, neighbor's complaining because of frustrated screaming all over the building. Nice art though!
+Cute story +Cute music +Cute characters (Familiar tropes, but very well done) +Cute illustration -Lack of military discipline and what you could/would get away with is... eye rolling if you have a basic understanding of what morale and discension is lol. -Yoi : This character infuriated me, and it only got worse and worse and worse and worse and everyone in the story considers her a friend no matter what... no matter what... no matter WHAT! The morality behind it is so questionable is actually disturbs me eveytime I think of the choices the writer made, creating this story, and the lessons we're to learn from it.. Wish there was options to actually make Faye pull away from this character... -A bit spendy Thats it really, a great game so far, bit pricey.
Kika is cuter than Lenna, but Faye and Lenna are cuter together. This is a crisis that must be solved.
In all seriousness, my only gripe with this VN is that they didn't use the same art style from Reborn for uniformity (and generally more pleasing assets), instead opting to use an artstyle more reminiscent of the VN this is a remake of.
Corniest ending possible 10/10 For those worried about it: This game doesn't end in het. In fact, it is impossible for it to end in het. It's hilarious how BTFO the het gets.
Sadly, I can't say I enjoyed this VN. I ended up hating everyone and everything about it. Except Kika, cause I met her in Reborn, her archetype is Tsundere so you actually know she's ♥♥♥♥♥♥ for a logical reason. But the others? I hate them all. The worst offenders are Faye, Yoi and Lenna. Even Space Hitler, or Sol, is more bearable than those three. I swear I wanted to shot myself after the 10th time I read ARUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUU. I SWEAR. Faye is so naive and dumb, that I wouldn't be surprised she's the cause for the team demise in the 3rd installment of the Rising Angels series. Or the third Intergalactic war, whatever make the meme float. Yoi has some sort of motivation behind her act, but her character makes her impossible to be liked at any point. Another candidate to be shot in the streets. And finally, Lenna. Don't get me started. This card has been played too many times. Her character is 0% originality and 100% annoyance in physical form. That and her "relationships" are the icing in the cake. I hope the imperialists in this game take over the galaxy and start a purge on every Virus-Born. I can't believe I like the crazy-psycho ♥♥♥♥♥ from Sunrider more than any character this game has to offer. 0/10
I must say,Faye is the cutest one I want to squeeze her a LOT
A yuri visual novel set at Starfleet Academy, this is a prequel to "Rising Angels: Reborn" and a remake of the uncompleted "Rising Angels: The Red Rose". I like the other two games, but this is my favorite of the series so far, for several reasons:

Good writing throughout (occasional typos aside).
It's considerably longer than "Reborn".
It has a catchy, upbeat theme song and a mostly optimistic tone, fitting the game's subtitle.
It has a more choices. A lot of these choices are not terribly important plotwise ("Do you want to spend some time hanging out with Person A or Person B?"), but they make the story more personalized and help flesh out the characters.
As in "Reborn", there's a designated love interest around whom a fair portion of the story revolves.
But at the end of the game, you're given the option to date another of the characters instead, if you so choose. Which, again, makes the game feel more involving.

Last but not least, the game has loads more Kika Starr, the spoiled and egocentric but loyal and benevolent catgirl who may have surpassed Hermione Granger as my favorite fictional character. She's awesome.
I liked the artwork in "Red Rose" better, but other than that this game rocks. I bought it full price and it was well worth it.
