Prices
Each in the currency that store quoted — not converted: the gap between two rows is the publisher's pricing, not an exchange rate.

Availability
We put this game to every storefront we collect. A market that answered not sold has told us something about the game; a market we never asked has not, and the two are never drawn the same.
Discounts
Every price cut of more than 20% we have observed, in each market that quoted one, with this game's chart position on either side of it. These are episodes, not a model: a sale is one event, and one event cannot tell you what the next one will do.

I have way more hours than 1.8, I just recently bought the game on steam instead of where I used to have it. Highly highly recommend especially if you are into this era of Japan and want to live through it with your own character. I understand the performance wasn't great at launch, but it runs decently now with no issues. Story is great, customization is awesome, lots of side quests and stuff to do, entertaining as hell and has really good combat. Plus, companions actually help you instead of annoy you which is a huge plus. It's not QUITE a souls-like but it's similar. Reminds me of Ghost of Tsushima with a smaller map but more character customization. Love this game.

13 on sale2 answered “not sold”0 we did not ask
The 2 “not sold” markets are read from the Steam price pass of Aug 25: that day the store answered for this game elsewhere and gave no price in those. The 13 priced markets are the same rows as the table above — each the latest price we hold, dated here when it is older than that pass. The 0 marked “not asked” were not put to this store at all — either it has no storefront there or we do not collect it yet, and neither is a statement about the game. A refusal is a refusal on one day; a store can list a title again tomorrow.
Reviews, worldwide (the counter carries no country): 6.86/day in the week to Jul 30 → 8.14/day in the week after.
For scale, across Steam · Top Sellers · Brazil over the last 30 days: the 26 chart moves that followed a price cut of more than 20% went a median of 7 places towards #1, and the 2,400 moves with no price cut behind them went 2 away. One store, one chart, one country — it is the only place we have enough observations to say even that.
Prices outside the United States have been collected since 6 August 2026 and chart positions since 19 July 2026, so a cut older than that has no market to compare and a market that joined later has no history yet. Nothing here is converted between currencies.

Story looks like it has potential, character design is good. Yet the biggest flaw is the combat. I've played shadows die twice, Jedi survivor, fallen order, for honor, and a few others.. games where precision in combat matter. And that's how i like it. Yet here, if the animation decides you're going to get hit even though visually you're blocking or dodging, it'll teleport you so you're being hit. And the timing of parrying is an inconsistent guess. Somewhere between a 2 second part of the animation but you have be get it accurate within a hundredth of a second. And it rarely the same. And i'm get 116-120fps. If the combat wasn't so guessy, i'd probably have kept it.
For how old this game is, it's not well ported. At first, I was looking for a Tenchu Z-like game and this was recommended to me. So I got it on sale and was thinking this might turn out good. After only a little while, the game had issues. Audio can be extremely choppy, The game has issues just turning the camera around your vicinity. The grapplehook is a icon based only thing and half the time, grapple spots on roofs don't appear for you to use UNLESS you are at specific angles or spots for them to actually become active. Combat is.....okay-ish? Sometimes I go to parry and nail it every time, other times I got to parry and because the enemy is just ever so slightly away from me, I'll miss the parry but enemy still gets the poke damage despite me being in the parry window. Stealth doesn't truely exist. I felt like if I assassinated someone from a roof, even when no enemies were looking at the guy I grabbed, magically they just somehow knew I was on the roof after the enemy is dead and could "see" me even on the other side of the roof, out of their view. This game is kind of a mess of what ever it was trying to be, but a Tenchu game is not. This makes me hesitant to even look at Ghosts of Tsushima since that game was also recommended to me as a tenchu style game. For now though, Rise of the Ronin is not worth the money, time, or experience. Find a better Tenchu style game if you're looking for one, better yet, if you find one that is good and doesn't have performance issues, let me know.
Rise of Ronin is a game I really like despite its flaws and rough edges. I recently purchased the game on sales and after finishing the game and getting all the achievement i would say it is an enjoyable experience. The Pros : Great combat. This is not much of a surprise since Team Ninja has always been known to delivers in this department. It is satisfying and rewarding and for sure it is the best aspect of the game. There are 6 distinct melee weapons type and 3 ranged options and they all feel fun and unique. In addition the game style/stance system further add complexity and customization making and i greatly enjoyed it. There also a stealth attack in this game and while its is basic it still help the game since i found myself balancing between being sneaky and picking off enemy first before running in murder hobo style. The game difficulty are also tune well offering 3 choices for the 1st playthrough being : Dawn (Easy), Dusk (Normal), and Twilight (Hard). I played on Twilight (Hard) where the game is challenging but fair and i enjoyed it greatly. The game setting is also another strong part since it is set in the late Edo / Bakumatsu period where Japan undergoes a lot of changes due to their interaction with western nations. Not many games cover this era of Japan so for someone like me I really enjoy all the historical details as well all the characters featured in it. The game character creation system is also a plus for me since you can customized both of the blade twin. The system is easy to use and you can make a good looking character or an abomination based on your preference relatively fast and painless. ( Also the game surprisingly feature romance options with no gender restriction which is a first for Team Ninja) Cons: The visual of the game is inconsistent just like the dev previous game Wolong. The game can look pretty good at some locations but it can just decide to flip the switch some time and look blurry with jagged edges textures. The performance of the game is highly dependent on your PC. I first tried this game when it launch with an I5 12400f CPU , 32gb or ram and a RTX 2070 and it was not enjoyable. Now in 2026 with better optimization and much better pc the game ran smooth for me at a stable 100-120 fps at max setting + DLSS at Quality. Things that can be improved: (Things mention here are neither pros or cons) The story for me is okay. Despite me praising the game interesting time period it doesn't have enough impact to be consider fully great. You can choose to be either pro shogunate or anti shogunate in the game but both story branch need more time in the oven imo . In my playthrough i just end up flip flopping between the 2 factions until the very end of the game since i don't feel attached enough toward either one. I would consider myself to be a fan of open world type game and while i mostly enjoyed it in this game there is a decent amount of repetition in its random event and side quest. This is the first time Team Ninja made an open world game though so i won't harp on this too much. Overall like i said at the start i still enjoyed Rise of Ronin greatly so in my personal opinion I would recommend the game and give it a score of 8 out of 10. If you are on the fences about it i highly suggest you buy the game on sales like me at 50% off since its a bit pricey at full prices. I hope Team Ninja will consider making a sequel to this game and improved further cause i see a lot of potential here.
This game runs like absolute dog water the graphics look worse than ps4 games and it runs like crap this studio should be embarrassed releasing a product like this
It's ok. If you need more nioh I would recommend but it's just nioh with a ton of padding. Very basic you've played it 20 times open world action game. It starts slow aswell and the fun doesn't start until midgame and a lot of the fun stuff is locked away behind collectathons which exasperates the overstayed welcome feeling in the last area. I would recommend it if Nioh 2-3 and Sekiro didn't exist, this games biggest flaw is the time wasting in between the fun. No performance problems runs ok on my machine.
