Every price cut of more than 20% we have observed, in each market that quoted one, with this game's chart position on either side of it. These are episodes, not a model: a sale is one event, and one event cannot tell you what the next one will do.
Reviews, worldwide (the counter carries no country): 0.11/day in the week to Aug 4 → 0.14/day in the week after.
For scale, across Steam · Top Sellers · Brazil over the last 30 days: the 26 chart moves that followed a price cut of more than 20% went a median of 7 places towards #1, and the 2,400 moves with no price cut behind them went 2 away. One store, one chart, one country — it is the only place we have enough observations to say even that.
Prices outside the United States have been collected since 6 August 2026 and chart positions since 19 July 2026, so a cut older than that has no market to compare and a market that joined later has no history yet. Nothing here is converted between currencies.
About
Rip Current is a tense, atmospheric single-player survival horror game set in the depths of a research facility where humanity’s desperation to save the planet has birthed something far worse.
You play as Carter, a special operations contractor sent to investigate the sudden radio silence from Post Salvos, the facility at the heart of the project. Upon arrival, it becomes clear that the experiment has gone wrong. The station is in ruins, flooded and overrun by engineered predators: chief among them, a ferocious and relentless Spinosaurus.
Features:
Deep Sea Dread: Explore a sprawling, aquatic research station. Navigate tight corridors, flooded labs, and evade the creatures that stalk the waters below and the darkness ahead.
Fight or Flight: You're armed, but not with much. Choose to sneak, run or fight your way through the unleashed predators.
Discover: Uncover logs, research files, and eerie remains of the station's staff to piece together what happened.
Will you shut down the experiment before it reshapes the oceans forever, or join the lost souls of Post Salvos?

Very enjoyable, was able to playthrough the whole game. Quality Good Storyline Good Shotgun Beast Add more ammo would make it even more enjoyable If you want to check out my vid here is the link https://youtu.be/mF_aq2mK71c?si=MUrYsccjfc3SP-Ac
Both the story and gameplay are incredibly immersive. Graphic wise, not very realistic as in it's not way too realistic like the most recent games because it looked kind of bulky at times. But it was a game I truly enjoyed playing.
While I had some minor quality of life bugs, and some hilarity with aggro enemy pathing, the game is still rather fun and worth the cost, just a solid fun little dino horror with some decent difficulty with the challenges.

Very good and fun game...Scary enough! I enjoy playing it...
I loved this game, got it as a package with Oakwood. Felt like an evolution playing them after eachother.
Rip Current is a survival horror title developed by Breaking Dimensions and Polygon Dust Entertainment and published by Breaking Dimensions. Built around a combination of underwater exploration, dinosaur horror, and investigative storytelling, the game places players inside the troubled Post Salvos research facility, a deep-sea installation that once housed ambitious scientific projects aimed at restoring marine ecosystems through genetic engineering. When communication with the station suddenly ceases, a special operations contractor named Carter is dispatched to uncover what happened, only to find a facility overrun by dangerous prehistoric creatures and the consequences of failed experimentation. The game's strongest feature is its atmosphere. The underwater setting immediately gives Rip Current a distinct identity compared to many other indie horror experiences. The corridors of the research station are dark, damaged, and filled with signs of catastrophe, creating a constant feeling of isolation. Every section of the facility feels abandoned yet threatening, as though danger could emerge from any corner. The developers make effective use of environmental storytelling, allowing players to absorb the tragedy of the station through its ruined laboratories, flooded chambers, and scattered evidence of the disaster that unfolded before their arrival. The narrative follows a familiar science-fiction horror formula involving genetic manipulation and corporate ambition, but it remains engaging because of how the story is delivered. Rather than relying on lengthy cutscenes, players uncover information through exploration, documents, and clues hidden throughout the station. This investigative approach encourages curiosity and rewards careful observation. As more details emerge, the mystery behind the failed project becomes increasingly compelling, giving purpose to exploration beyond simple progression toward the next objective. Gameplay focuses on survival rather than empowerment. Resources are intentionally limited, forcing players to think carefully about every encounter. Ammunition cannot be wasted, and choosing when to fight, hide, or retreat becomes a major part of the experience. This design keeps tension high throughout the adventure because enemies remain threatening even after players acquire weapons. The game successfully captures the feeling of vulnerability that defines many memorable survival horror titles. A major highlight is the use of dinosaurs as the primary source of terror. Instead of zombies or supernatural creatures, Rip Current features genetically altered prehistoric predators that feel both believable within the story and genuinely intimidating during gameplay. The Spinosaurus serves as the game's most memorable threat, acting as a relentless hunter capable of turning routine exploration into moments of panic. Its presence creates suspense because players never feel completely safe, and encounters with the creature often become some of the most intense moments in the game. Visually, Rip Current delivers impressive atmosphere despite its independent production scale. The environments are detailed enough to communicate the facility's collapse while maintaining a sense of mystery. Lighting is used effectively to conceal threats and build tension, while the creature designs strike a balance between realism and horror. Audio design also deserves praise, as distant sounds, environmental effects, and sudden bursts of danger contribute significantly to the game's unsettling mood. Together, the visuals and soundscape create an experience that consistently keeps players on edge. The game is not without shortcomings. Some players may find the overall scope relatively modest compared to larger survival horror productions. Certain gameplay systems could benefit from additional depth, and a wider variety of enemy encounters might have helped maintain freshness over longer sessions. However, these limitations rarely overshadow the strengths of the experience. Rip Current remains focused on delivering suspense, exploration, and survival, and it generally succeeds in achieving those goals. What ultimately makes the game memorable is its combination of unusual themes. The mixture of deep-sea horror, ecological experimentation, and dinosaur survival creates a setting that feels unique within the genre. Rather than attempting to imitate more mainstream horror games, Rip Current carves out its own niche through atmosphere and concept. Players who enjoy tense exploration, resource management, and creature-driven horror will likely appreciate the game's distinctive approach. Rip Current is an engaging survival horror adventure that successfully blends science-fiction storytelling with prehistoric terror. Its immersive setting, effective use of tension, and memorable dinosaur encounters help it stand out among independent horror releases. While it may not offer the scale or complexity of larger genre entries, it delivers a focused and entertaining experience that understands exactly what it wants to be. For fans of atmospheric horror and survival gameplay, it is a worthwhile journey into the depths. Rating: 7/10
Great
