Simple concept but great execution, really leans into the unique element of the wizard power fantasy of having a tool for every challenge. Some builds are just better than others which can lead to a bit of stagnation, and you might be better off getting the second one at this point as it's just the same game with more content
IT'S WIZARD TI-Okay but for real, steep learning curve, but there's nothing quite like it, and I'm a big fan. Rift Wizard 2 is fine, it focuses more on conjuration in the late game being the only really viable option imo, and Rift Wizard 1 is more sorcery friendly. Definitely worth the price if you like what you see, and are willing to stick with learning the weird goofy spell list.
Good
这游戏的压力给的太足了,就算是轮椅BD一不小心也会翻车,构筑几小时暴毙几秒钟,挫败感极强。 仅推荐给喜欢dd的低血压患者和BD爱好者,本质上是个牢登解残局的游戏。
It's an excellent classic roguelike. Systems are engaging and builds feel very good and satisfying
love its challenge
10 hours in and I've only scratched the surface of the strategies available.
Esse jogo é impossível mas é absurdamente divertido
Rift Wizard is my favorite traditional roguelike. Its level design coupled with all of the different spell types make for a completely different playthrough every time. For example, I'm still at the point where I've barely scratched the surface in terms of experimenting with all of the different builds that you can do in this game. This game will always hold a special place in my heart.
The trailer is kind of misleading, to get to that level of near-god kind of power you need to survive the vey unfun journey of just barely scraping by with mediocre spells. I know this is a 'hardcore' roguelike, but it seems hardcore in this case means ballbustingly difficult entry. I know this might just be a skill issue, but i really tried here. If it's because i didn't look up guides, then again, if a game requires research to play at all then it's not really a game if you need to follow a guide in a would be heavily customizible RPG. If you like roguelikes that are ballbustingly hard andd are up to spend hours just dying without much progress, slowly learning the ropes, sure, get it. But this stuff is ballbusting.
