Discounts
Every price cut of more than 20% we have observed, in each market that quoted one, with this game's chart position on either side of it. These are episodes, not a model: a sale is one event, and one event cannot tell you what the next one will do.
Reviews, worldwide (the counter carries no country): 0.86/day in the week to Aug 20 → 1.86/day in the week after.
For scale, across Steam · Top Sellers · Brazil over the last 30 days: the 25 chart moves that followed a price cut of more than 20% went a median of 10 places towards #1, and the 2,413 moves with no price cut behind them went 2 away. One store, one chart, one country — it is the only place we have enough observations to say even that.
Prices outside the United States have been collected since 6 August 2026 and chart positions since 19 July 2026, so a cut older than that has no market to compare and a market that joined later has no history yet. Nothing here is converted between currencies.

So, in short, where is my sequel. In Detail. This game was fantastic. Story went way farther than i first thought it would when i saw the trailer. The more the story went on the more alien it felt.. in a good way of course. Last time i felt this attachment and hope and despair clashing was when i played Chrono Ark. Gameplay, very satisfying honestly, action stages felt just like what it would feel like to face a competent army with a few soldiers. Stealth stages.. well Stealth stages.. i do like inverse Cipher so it didn't bother me a lot. Music, just as good as the story honestly, the music in the later stages of the game really pull the story and gameplay together. The characters all are really memorable. The good the bad both. So anyways Yu-Zhong i request you to prodive us with a Sequel to Reverse Collapse, as i'm sure a lot of us but most importantly Mendo need to have a word with Jefuty. (I'm buying the figurine as well)

I wasn't sure what to expect at first. I initially bought this cause of the funny name. 147 hours later I'm staring at the credits screen with tears in my eyes. Buy this game if you are interested in a difficult (I mean a nut-bustingly difficult) game with a lot of lore, and a pretty tragic/melancholic story.
tl;dr: Easy contender for the best SPRG of all time. A game with 0 of the bullshite you'd expect from modern titles. A solid 80-100 hour campaign with a heart wrenching story, a VERY EXPANSIVE world & lore and incredibly satisfying gameplay. Reverse Collapse: Codename Bakery (I promise the name is great in context) is not just the best game released in 2024 but one of if not the best SPRG of all time. This is not just a quality product sold waaaaay cheaper than it’s worth but a genuine work of art and a dream come true for the original guys behind it. The game initially follows a very simple structure of character dialogue cutscene (all excellently voiced) followed by briefing/introduction for a mission before transitioning onto the preparation screen. Here you can customise your character’s skills & weapons, craft items or research/augment your equipment via the tech tree. Unlike most games that throw mountains of items at you that you’ll never use until the final boss (if even) Reverse Collapse has items at the forefront. You’ve got everything from turrets, mines, drones, scanners, rocket launchers, all manner of grenade types both lethal and tactical, cruise missiles and some very cool plot/world specific stuff. All of this equipment and their invaluable utility creates a very compelling balancing act between what you’ll craft with your limited materials and tech points and how/when you’ll use them. The missions themselves are very varied in terms of your actual objectives and how they tend to play out, however most of them are either, kill all enemies, extract at a certain location or infiltrate some form of camp or facility. However, even for the most seemingly mundane missions there’s always that interesting background meta game of managing your resources across the campaign. So what about that campaign? Well you’ll be commanding a squad made of Antartican Union special forces attempting to extract the titular “Codename Bakery” from the clutches and territory of the URNC (Union of Rossartrist Nations Coalition, basically a neo-soviet union). As you progress you’ll learn more about the true nature of your mission, your enemies and even the objective itself. Some missions will have multiple victory objectives that can lead you down completely separate branching paths with an expansive butterfly effect changing the destiny of the squad and the operation as a whole. Now I know I’ve just thrown a bunch of random proper nouns at you so now’s the time to drop the bomb that this game is actually both the sequel and prequel to two other games. Girls Frontline 1 & 2. Straight away, do you need to go and play two other games to understand this? NOT AT ALL. Like I said despite this game taking place 20 years after the events of GFL2 it’s an entirely unique conflict in the universe and the parts that are connected are done so well that you’ll pretty much have the full picture on the connections via smart contextual hints and writing or you can even read quick info files on keywords right inside the game. The extent to how well this game stands on its own can be summed up with the fact that I know people who are die hard fans of Girls Frontline playing both games since day 1 and yet they haven’t even heard of this game, which is unfortunately due to the fact this game had essentially no marketing but I’ve also seen many glowing reviews of THIS game in which the reviewer had never even heard of Girls Frontline. So rest assured whether you’re a Griffin schizo or just pick this game up from random interest you’ll not be lost to things outside of Reverse Collapses contained narrative. Getting back to the actual story of Reverse Collapse itself. It’s an absolute masterclass in intrigue, foreshadowing and recontextualisation. It gets so in depth to the point that even menial gameplay mechanics are discovered to be major plot points which I personally LOVED. Every time you spot something or theorise on a potential future event you that very satisfying detective feel as you try to piece together the massive sprawling story, wondering who is even an actually reliable narrator and what military documents are red herrings or genuine intel. Lastly, the reason why I am both in love and yet endlessly frustrated when it comes to this game. It has a very interesting history and is honestly the definition of a labour of love. Essentially, the original team before even making the Girls Frontline franchise, made “Girl of the Bakehouse”, a short visual novel to be sold at Chinese conventions in 2009. Then in 2013 this story was then worked into the more recognisable “Codename: Bakery Girl”. This is the basis for the eventual and massive Girls Frontline series that now spans 3 continuously updated games running for years. However, all this time that they were making FAT BANK from the GFL series they had been crafting this very game. What started as a small visual novel by a small passionate few back in 2009 finally had the budget and time allowed to make their true vision realised and it’s bloody fantastic. These are the types of releases we need to support and that we need more of in the hellscape that is modern gaming. A genuine labour of love by people with the vision to create an experience with fun gameplay, a gripping story and most importantly NONE OF THE ♥♥♥♥♥♥♥♥ that is shoved onto your plate with 90% of games these days. It's so rare yet so lovely when you play a game so good that you felt genuinely happy to have not just experienced the actual content of said video game but that you spent money to support the people who created it. Thank you MICA Team for releasing this masterpiece, now please give this game even a crumb of marketing and make a sequel or similar game in this vein!
AND RELEASE UMP9 TO THE GLOBAL SERVERS OF GFL2!
Gosh, just 7 hours in and I love the heck out of this game. So regret sleeping on it for so long despite being a GFL fan. To anyone still hesitating to grab it, its gameplay alone is better than Exilium, and the story is superbly written as well. You won't regret it. Edit: One of the best games I've ever played. Beautiful.
好玩。不要理那些说潜行关的,他们智力有缺陷
The hardest turn-based game I've ever played, it kicked my ass even on normal mode. Despite the goofy chibi art style and cutscenes, the story is still great and has peak moments. The stealth missions are cool and unique, but even with save scumming, they can be a pain. I'll reach the true ending one day; I'm just not in the mood to redo all the missions with missing files to get there. o7
