Good tactical game so far
VALE A PENA? Sucesso.
I loved the game at the start, good mechanics and story, and powers. But I think after some time the game gets too monotone, nothing new happens. just the same enemies, and scenarios and itens again and again, I couldn't make it till the end :/ looking forward to new editions!
I enjoyed this game a lot. It is a relatively short tactical puzzle RPG just under 10 hours long even if you chat with every NPC and do not miss fights. There is a simple alignment system (Order/Chaos) based on your dilogue decisions that affects your skill choice and which of the 2 endings you get. To be clear there are no good or bad endings, they are just different. Th artstyle is very pleasant with vibrant colors and smooth drawn animations. The worldbuilding is honestly great for such a small game, after finishing it I wanted to learn more about this world and play more games in it. But thats where the sad part comes in - the devs have been silent for the last few years so it is highly unlikely we are getting any sequel. The only 2 negatives I can say about this game is uneven difficulty curve with sudden spikes and some overemotional dialogues that do not really fit the mood. This game is well worth curent price and I will be happy if we get more games in this universe as it clearly is made with love and attention.
16h in one sitting overnight isn't the recommened way to play, but i wouldn't do that again I don't know where is left or right so I'll post random thoughts and notes I took and pretend it's a review Important things are: - It's not about going on a crusade against goblins because you can't stand them and they are evil, it's about gathering knowledge and trying to steal some old evlish tomes now that elves are not using them (elves are actually portrayed in a bad way and everyone thinks they got what they deserved) - All characters are annoying, but so are your friends, learn to live with it (also it's based on Brazilian ttrpg and book/comic series or w/e it was, but made in Brazil explains a lot) - trpgs are like puzzles, they alway were, tf are you doing, looking for racing games and not two ways to solve the encounter optimaly without losing hp? That's what those games are for There are some illogical things like Hellaron giving Aurora a call on their transatlantic mind link just to tell her he will teleport to her so the story can continue at a reasonable pace, which isn't a big deal, but come on Holgor battle is one of the more bs ones with the spells that both casters have and buffs this piece of goblin ♥♥♥♥ give them. If he wouldn't have immunity to damage and just got patched up after the battle if someone menaged to kill him it would be 10 times better and wouldn't be all about rng May everything holy prevent you from making asymetrical companion levels where everyone joins with certain level but you can't make them catch up with the rest or they are always ahead and with every fight you are getting further and further away from getting new skills at the same time. "But my mom said if anyone can figure this out it's me" no Timmy, you can't figure it out, just let this idea die out. RKT does something great by not being the copy of the same ♥♥♥♥ we had since '86 or whenever the nightmare started, but at the same time it delivers some other atrocities which at times hurts more than "yet another trpg" would. Just don't do level caps when you have room for few of them, 1 or 2 points won't change a thing and letting players learn all the skills never is a bad thing, you are busted beyond everything by the time you hit the cap anyway Interactions with companions and their commentary to how our cause is doing is based on location and not character, meaning if you move forward with the plot and refuse to show up at the last stop, you miss on dialogue... which isn't the strongest part of the game, but still
