Crazy Plottwist, amazing psycho-horror experience 10/10

Un plot twist incroyable que j'ai presque deviné, mais impossible de l'avoir à 100% ! Je recommande vivement le jeu, cependant... Il est dommage de ne pas avoir de fins plus travaillées ; en effet, l'histoire est tellement bien ficelée que l'on s'attend à quelque chose de vraiment spéciale pour la fin que nous choisissons d'avoir. Malheureusement, nous n'avons le droit qu'à quelques secondes de plus qui n'apportent pas grand chose à notre façon de compléter le jeu.

Great game!

A pleasant short experience. The opening is quite slow, but the narrative pieces fall into place as the chapters unfold. Gameplay is mostly walking, occasionally interrupted by light, accessible puzzles. The ‘choose your fate’ mechanic is a charming addition. Graphics good too. It does suffer from a lack of real depth and from the near-total absence of interaction (aside from a handful of letters), yet it remains a worthwhile title. However, if you’re looking for traditional horror - jumpscares, monsters, or escalating tension - this isn’t it. Recommended, ideally on a big sale.

Some games (or narrative pieces of art in general) start slow, only come together about halfway through, and finish incredibly strong. Reveil is one of those games for me. , The first half felt like a very, VERY rote walking simulator that hit all the familiar notes: Beautiful and slightly surreal environments, a "where did everyone go" mystery to investigate, and a charmingly befuddled main character commenting on all the cutesy little notes everywhere. It wasn't BAD necessarily, just very basic and slightly boring. The art design is what kept me from stopping, it's absolutely gorgeous. When I was about to call it quits, interesting things started happening. They got more interesting. They started to flesh out some of the lamer aspects of the first half of the game. I sunk fully in. Even MORE interesting things happened. And then before I knew it, the credits were rolling, and I was saying "well god d*mn, I'm glad I kept playing that". If you like walking sims this is a great one that starts out a bit rough, but gets better and better as you go.

It was short for the price, even for 8€ on 60% sale The story was okay, the puzzles and screnery was nice., but it lacks of horror elements. Worth playing if you like narrative games, but wait for a sale. 5/10

Dieses Spiel ist fantastisch. Ohne zu viel zu verraten hallt die Geschichte nach. Eine wunderschöne Erfahrung über die man noch Wochen später nachdenken kann. Solch Spiele gibt es viel zu wenige. Das Studio Pixelsplit werde ich ab sofort genauer beäugeln.
