Prices
Each in the currency that store quoted — not converted: the gap between two rows is the publisher's pricing, not an exchange rate.
14 of 15 markets; the rest we haven't asked for this title, not markets where it is unavailable.
Availability
We put this game to every storefront we collect. A market that answered not sold has told us something about the game; a market we never asked has not, and the two are never drawn the same.
Discounts
Every price cut of more than 20% we have observed, in each market that quoted one, with this game's chart position on either side of it. These are episodes, not a model: a sale is one event, and one event cannot tell you what the next one will do.
Reviews, worldwide (the counter carries no country): 0.57/day in the week to Sep 1 → 2.57/day in the week after.
For scale, across Steam · Top Sellers · Brazil over the last 30 days: the 26 chart moves that followed a price cut of more than 20% went a median of 7 places towards #1, and the 2,400 moves with no price cut behind them went 2 away. One store, one chart, one country — it is the only place we have enough observations to say even that.
Prices outside the United States have been collected since 6 August 2026 and chart positions since 19 July 2026, so a cut older than that has no market to compare and a market that joined later has no history yet. Nothing here is converted between currencies.
About
The acclaimed sequel that redefined the award-winning series. Climb aboard a mysterious ocean liner as you step into the shoes of an actor called to perform under strange circumstances by a director with unsettling intentions.
Echoes of past performances twist into distorted memories, props become threats, and the line between stage and self begins to collapse. With every step, you’re pushed to achieve the director’s cryptic demands – and answer the question of what you’re willing to sacrifice for the perfect role.
Created by the modern masters of horror at Bloober Team, Layers of Fear 2 is a feast of cinematic storytelling amidst shifting, nightmarish environments.
Story-driven Exploration – Explore the world around you in order to uncover your past and reveal the hidden reasons why you were chosen for this role.
Psychological Horror – Is this part of the film, or are your memories playing tricks on you? The world may change in an instant and only you can decide what's real and what's not.
Unique Ocean Liner Setting – As you descend into the depths of the ship, the scenes you shoot for the film grow ever more surreal, and ever more terrifying.
Classical Ominous Soundtrack – An original score composed by Arkadiusz Reikowski, conducted by George Strezov, and performed by the Sofia Session Orchestra.

An act of creation always begins with an act of destruction.
Due to all the negative reviews I feel like I have to share a positive experience. The game indeed has this annoying insta-fail chase sequences... except they're not that bad. If anything, I feel like Bloober's Observer was far worse. The chase sequences in Layers of Fear 2 are brief and not that hard to solve. So what are the pros of the game? 1. Stunning atmosphere and set pieces 2. Terrific binaural sound design 3. Great animations 4. Interesting story 5. Tons of cinema references 6. I can't stretch this enough - the set pieces and visual design here are some of the best I ever encountered in any video game. 7. A new game + mode with multiple endings and a lot of collectibles. Don't be afraid of the chase sequences - i'ts really not worth skipping the game because of them.

14 on sale1 answered “not sold”0 we did not ask
The 1 “not sold” market is read from the Steam price pass of Aug 20: that day the store answered for this game elsewhere and gave no price there. The 14 priced markets are the same rows as the table above — each the latest price we hold, dated here when it is older than that pass. The 0 marked “not asked” were not put to this store at all — either it has no storefront there or we do not collect it yet, and neither is a statement about the game. A refusal is a refusal on one day; a store can list a title again tomorrow.

Disappointing and painfully confusing I really enjoyed the first Layers of Fear, so I went into Layers of Fear 2 with fairly high expectations. Unfortunately, after about two hours, I found myself completely losing interest. The game feels unnecessarily confusing, with a story that is difficult to follow and gameplay that often feels like wandering around without a clear purpose. The long black-and-white sequences also became very repetitive for me, and the visual effects actually started making me feel dizzy and uncomfortable. There are some impressive visuals and atmosphere, but for me they aren't enough to compensate for the tedious pacing and lack of engagement. I simply don't feel any motivation to continue playing. For €1.67 it was worth giving it a try, but compared to the first game, this was a major disappointment. I would have regretted it if I had paid full price for this title.
The philosophical concept of this game is good, but the game itself is very boring. I understand that walking simulators are usually linear, but this game is too linear. There is only one path to follow, while every other route is blocked, so there is almost no sense of exploration. You just keep walking straight without thinking. The ending only depends on choosing between two options. At that point, the game might as well just ask me which ending I prefer, bruh. Collecting items is optional too. Unlike Layers of Fear (2016), where collectibles affect the ending, they feel meaningless here except for getting achievements. They finally added a monster, but it looks more funny than scary. It only chases you from behind to push you onto the path the game wants you to take. It's also incredibly slow, so unless you're really careless, it won't catch you or make you feel scared. Don't waste your money here, just a trash game existing under its prequel's wing.
First playthrough review time. Layers of Fear 2 is a psychological horror game set in strange and shifting environments. The path is mostly linear, but the surroundings often change in unexpected ways. The game includes a few puzzles and item collection, which slowly reveal a dark and unclear story. The story is the strongest part of the game. As the game continues, things become darker and less clear, while the environment also keeps changing in unusual ways. The sound and voice acting help build the mood and keep the story engaging. The game also includes chase sections and trap moments along with the puzzles. These parts are not always smooth and can feel repetitive at times. The graphics change in quality, with some areas looking very detailed and others looking plain or less detailed. The sound design, however, stays strong throughout the game. The game might not launch after installation, and it may crash, so to fix this, follow the guide below. Overall, Layers of Fear 2 is a story-focused horror game with strong atmosphere and presentation. It works best for those who prefer a linear experience built around story and mood rather than complex gameplay. https://steamcommunity.com/sharedfiles/filedetails/?id=2910352992 Note: If you are playing on a loaded save or starting New Game+, do not click the reset option.
