Isopod: A Webbed Spin-off

Very very cute and funny game. I loved webbed and was excited to play this game as I love isopods. However, the controls are janky, the world design is hard to follow, and the boss design is tedious and frustrating. Specifically any time you had to use the magnets on the cannonballs, it is impossible to control and get the timing right. By the time you have the cannonball and line your shot up, whatever fired it at you has already fired another one and destroyed your ball. [spoiler] The second time you fight the rhino beetle mech [/spoiler] specifically is horrendous. Navigation is also kind of a nightmare. I think this team should stick to 2d platformers as Webbed was a masterpiece. Overall, if you love bugs, play this game, you can probably get past the design issues. If you like 3d platformers, do not play this game. The small racing segments were the most fun IMO. I also did like the message of the game and did not really have any issues with dialogue as other reviewers have

started rocking and rolling, down to the beach im strolling 🎶 🎵 ended up being spiderman 6.5/10 really fun game to play, i would imagine annoying game to 100% im not even gonna try + fun + story + magnet swing - dying outside of a boss area resets you with no health!!!. so that means the area you just died in for what ever reason is now harder - dash is a downward slam that only boosts you forward when touching the ground so sometimes when your 0.003 inches off the ground and boost forward it stops you in place and slams down - all around janky, but in a fun way for the most part. - meh map - cant move map and see entire thing - no waypoints outside of the map, if you are far enough away on the amp you cant see the waypoint at ALL and will have no idea where to go - sometimes no waypoints on he map would grab on sale

The story is hilarious, but for a game whose main appeal should be the fun movement system, the movement is very janky and not terribly fun. It's not terrible though, I played the whole thing

I got this game cause I love isopods <3 i didn't expect the hilarious and fun story, or that it would be so big. most fun i've had platforming since banjo kazooie when i was a kid. Mechanics are both forgiving but allow for a lot of fun speed and vertical movement so you FEEL cool, even if you can catch yourself. keeping an eye on these guys in the future. also deep sea isopod costume, my FAVORITE rolly polly guy <3
