"That game is called Retro Endurance 8bit. It's on Steam... I think you should give it a look. I think it's really neat. It's really neat."
- Jeff Gerstmann (former editorial director of Gamespot, co-founder of Giant Bomb)

The Shuffler/Randomizer Mode plays with a board game like progression. It picks a few randomly chosen games and each game plays for 3 rounds with the 3rd round playing at a faster speed. The main goal of Shuffler Mode is to get as high of a cumulative score as possible between the chosen games. The games are all designed to work well within this mode by keeping the controls and game mechanics simple, yet still be engaging and fun.
Retro Endurance 8bit features many games based on favorite classic 8bit games. Games based on popular genres such as platformers, puzzles, brawler, racing, RPG, and much much more! No two games play alike and they are all designed to be fun as possible.
Currently, there are 52 games in Shuffler Mode and 20 full arcade games in Arcade Mode with more being added as the game is updated. New games are first added to Shuffler mode, then eventually added to Arcade Mode as full multi-stage arcade games.

Solo developed game. Designed, coded, drawn, and composed by zsKnight of ZSNES.
Random generation algorithms in nearly all games so they will feel different each time you play them.
More games will be added and included free in future updates.
Many secrets and easter eggs to be discovered!

As soon as I learned this was made by the guy who made Zsnes, it was an instant-buy. I got thousands upon thousands of hours beating all the classics I never had to as a child in my pre-teen, teen, young adult, and adult life. I spread the emulator and accompanying ROM's (To all legal owners of said games, OBVIOUSLY) to so many friends over the years. Your work in the background is massively appreciated, I hope this game allows you to retire at a good age. Thank you zxKnight.
Fantastic, marvellous, brilliant, sublime!
It's almost like a history lesson on the NES. Every few seconds, the game changes, always emulating classics, dozens of them: Pac Man, Mario, Bomberman, Final Fantasy, all the classics, but in a way that's like consuming reels, a little bit of each, unlocking more and more titles. It has kind of a story, and the games keep changing, even in boss fights, which is an interesting thing. It also has some extras, such as the ability to block games that you don't like, or unlock arcades to play them individually. It's in Early Access, almost complete, and luckily hasn't been abandoned. A thumbs up, changing hands every 10 seconds. A beautiful tribute to and crash course through the NES & 8-bit arcade era from zsKnight: creator of the legendary ZSNES emulator! There is so much on offer here, this one is an absolute no-brainer!
I will very gladly support anything that zsKnight creates. The game is a fun tribute to WarioWare, but in a more extended format. It has a lot of vibes and a handcrafted feel that harkens back to a different, better, time of the Internet, when people were more focused on sharing their passion for games than anything else. Thank you for your service to the emulation community!
Retro Endurance 8bit is a work-in-progress from the legendary ZNES developer. zsKnight. It's sort of like Warioware and UFO 50 but with with shorter retro-style games inspired by old classics. It's fun in split-screen and has enough variety to keep players entertained for an hour or so per session. The arcade mode is challenging and can be frustrating at times though but for the price, can't ask for much. Hope to see it as a full game one day!
A simple game, but one that easily hooks you. Worth every penny. Oh. And thank you, zsKnight, for making my childhood happier.
First - this is just worth supporting if you grew up with ZSNES, I carried a copy of the program and all my favorite games to school with me every day on a zip disk, tons of memories and great times in my childhood all thanks to this guy. Next - the game itself is great, similar to UFO 50 and Warioware but a 1 man show - the games are not as developed or deep as ufo 50 but all so far have been good/decent arcade games and for one person, its a pretty amazing package. So definitely worth the money, especially if you grew up with these types of games.
Biased Opinion: Love zsKnight's programs. I STILL use ZSNES! After 31 hours of game play Opinion: -I came in knowing very little about the game. -I Enjoy Daily Challenge at rollover -6 Year Old Kiddo & this Oldskooler LOVE IT! This game is very creative, full of Easter eggs & surprises. You can really see the love for retro zsKight has. Gotta admit... Some days we popped games in & out of our NES because we couldn't decide what to play. Well this does just that with a Wario Ware twist! +Pros Nostalgia is REAL Easy to pick up 'n play & FUN! Wholesome and great for Kiddos -Cons Not on other games systems ...yet?
So i hear the person who made this got a good rep. I see why now after some 1½ hours. It has been a blast even if there is repetition with level ups and coin collecting/unlocks. I suppose a quick game play video peak is all one needs to make a decision if this is a buy. Very cheap price should help as well. EA tag is not to be afraid of. Maybe more content at some point but this far no bugs or anything. Nor do i see directly anything missing. Closest similar game? Warioware. But then not like that but close.
Excellent! In the interview you likened this to Wario Ware... I would liken it far more closely to Ultimate NES Remix. Now I must say too, it varies from that formula to new interesting ideas. I assert everyone who watches the interview, and anyone who understands what this labor of love is about, should buy this treasure right away! There is no disappointment!
