MatchR: Now Hiring

Cpmbat match-3 is sort of guilty pleasure for me when I want to unwind. Being spoiled by awesome games like Puzzle Quest 1&2 that were released years and years ago I expect modern ones to bring something new on the plate. Yet, this game fails to do that. It's very well done with cute graphics and zero bugs, yet I can't recommend it to people who are in search of a next great Match-3 battler. First of all - the AI always (and I mean - always) picks the best combination possible )would it be 4 or 5 symbols match). It never misses, no matter if you're on level 1 or level 15. This kills the thrill of your "Aha! It missed, so I'm gonna payback now!" thing. Secondly: This is the first game of a kind where you can form a "T" combination or "L" combination of 5 orbs and it will still be counted as "4-match", What? And the last: the game feels extremely slow even with sped up animation options on. I could potentially finish a run within 10 minutes: from first enemy to the last bossfight, yet the pace of the game just won't let me. So no, this is not a bad game, it's just not as good as other ones out there. And as you might know: "The Best is the enemy of The Good".

MatchR is a combination of Match-3 + Turn-based combat so it is an appealing game for me :D The artstyle is adorable, and they even have a gacha system :P Achievement wise, it is not difficult to obtain all of them; However: one achievement can be grindy/time consuming and that is the achievement that requires us to obtain all stickers There are 6 characters we can unlock in total, and they will be available for playing once we level up Each character will also have their own unique starting traits that helps us defeat mobs and the bosses~ Personally, I love using Suzie the most because she can be OP af >:D Overall I would still recommend this game because I had fun playing it (minus) the repetitive grind for tokens nearing the end, gahhhh :') Tags: [Turn-based combat] [Match 3] [RPG] [Gacha] [Strategy] [Wholesome] [Plot twist]

Look no further because MatchR: Now Hiring has you covered! Frolick through 3 floors of pandemonium as you meet your coworkers and defeat them in a lovely match 3 atmosphere! Unlock character traits and stickers that will help you rise through the ranks and learn the back story of each of the protagonists to choose from. Unlock secrets by clicking around (Pay attention to certain dialogue for some of it or just look at the Discussions tab as to date there is no guide for any of it. Not sure if by request of the dev or not...) and reveal silly little things! They grant you tokens of course to help you with your Match3 job! So what are you waiting for? No need to don on your business suit for this casual game! Open it up and get ready to have fun!

Macht wirklich Spaß. Ist ein tolles Spiel für nebenbei. Liebevoll gestaltet und nicht zu anspruchsvoll. 100 % Errungenschaften sind gut machbar.

better than Doom Eternal

A fun match 3 roguelite with cute characters and funny dialogue. There are lots of unlocks to achieve such as characters, traits, and stickers which all help you go further next run. Beat the MatchR corporation and get each character to the end to learn their stories.

I was really looking forward to this, but I just can't get into it, it felt more like a chore to play. I don't think I felt single moment of satisfaction. I also expected more of the story with this setup, but it doesn't have any feel of personality to it. The one liner change feels like just something glued on. It's cute, and the idea seems great, but somehow it's just slow. But someone who enjoys match 3 type of things, it just didn't click. Music, if described in one word, is dull. I'm also not really a fan of CPU always doing the perfect move. Of course, you can do that yourself too as there is no timelimit whatsoever, but pitch perfect CPU has never been a fun to play with. All in all, it's just boring to me. :( Knowing I will never return to this and feeling disappointed more than anything, refunded.

This game combines my love of turn-based strategy games and match-3/puzzle games. Even though it often seems like the board is set up to give the computer opponents match-4s, I still enjoy myself and my own match-4s and match-5s feel earned. I really enjoy playing this game and unlocking new rewards, stickers, etc each time.
