This game is a port of the Games for Windows - Live version that was released in 2009. If you buy the Untold Stories Bundle here on Steam, it will be the same as upgrading to Resident Evil 5 Gold Edition.
Modeled estimate, not a reported figure. How we estimate →
Prices
Each in the currency that store quoted — not converted: the gap between two rows is the publisher's pricing, not an exchange rate.
Availability
We put this game to every storefront we collect. A market that answered not sold has told us something about the game; a market we never asked has not, and the two are never drawn the same.
Charts
Each storefront's own chart, in its own country — the closest public signal to sales where none is published. A country missing from a list is one we don't collect there, not one where the game doesn't chart.
No United States chart position — it charts only in the markets below.
Discounts
Every price cut of more than 20% we have observed, in each market that quoted one, with this game's chart position on either side of it. These are episodes, not a model: a sale is one event, and one event cannot tell you what the next one will do.
Reviews, worldwide (the counter carries no country): 22.14/day in the week to Sep 8 → 33/day in the week after.

i've replayed this game countless times and all of those times was to get continuously excited every time wesker appeared on screen
RE5 is a good game with flaws that are most noticeable on professional and mercenaries. The first attempt at having a cpu as a teammate was good but on the harder difficulties it's limitations on most prominent. They are oddly limited in their logic from not being able shoot emblems on the boat, pick up treasure, attempting takedowns on their own (they need to be led to it), attempting to revive after warning finished instead of imminently (this is a nightmare on professional). The takedown system is more in-depth in this game with three different options from the head=crowd control, arm=teammate assist, leg= knock down or instant kill. The gun feels slow on controller but this is my first tank control re game (RE4VR and RE6 are my only other RE games. Keyboard suffers with quick time events with having two separate two button in puts. The left and right button is easy but the partner and context buttons aren't as consistent to press (on professional I had to run out the way to avoid having to use the dodge prompts.) My mouse has buttons I used to bind my partner keys to that made everything easier. The enemies for the most part are good but having attacks that lock on you is plan stupid if your trying to run past them (in the case of grabs and instant kills are the most ♥♥♥♥♥♥♥♥). Seeing them start to attack and turn lock on to you as you pass just to get hit in the back will be a problem you WILL have. Over all the game is good but the age of the controls with the demand of the more mobile enemies will get in the way of finding the game great.

14 of 15 markets; the rest we haven't asked for this title, not markets where it is unavailable.
14 on sale1 answered “not sold”0 we did not ask
The 1 “not sold” market is read from the Steam price pass of Sep 7: that day the store answered for this game elsewhere and gave no price there. The 14 priced markets are the same rows as the table above — each the latest price we hold, dated here when it is older than that pass. The 0 marked “not asked” were not put to this store at all — either it has no storefront there or we do not collect it yet, and neither is a statement about the game. A refusal is a refusal on one day; a store can list a title again tomorrow.

For scale, across Steam · Top Sellers · Poland over the last 30 days: the 21 chart moves that followed a price cut of more than 20% went a median of 12 places towards #1, and the 2,501 moves with no price cut behind them went 1 away. One store, one chart, one country — it is the only place we have enough observations to say even that.
Prices outside the United States have been collected since 6 August 2026 and chart positions since 19 July 2026, so a cut older than that has no market to compare and a market that joined later has no history yet. Nothing here is converted between currencies.

playing this game with 1 hand whenever wesker is on screen is quite hard
It's not even remotely scary, but maybe that's ok? It's very much a worthwhile experience if you play it coop with a friend, because it feels like you're missing out on the main appeal of the game if you don't, and that being it's a co-op resident evil game. I think the core gameplay ideas are solid, in fact I would love for capcom to go back to the idea again, but in a more horror focused setting with survival horror gameplay more akin to the RE2r. It does sort of feel like a downgraded re4 in some places, but not enough to discourage playing. It also gets incredibly ridiculous in THE scene in the volcano (you know the one), but honestly it's still kinda fun. Which is how I can summarise this game. "Kinda fun if you have a friend to play it with." Nowhere near my favourites, but still a fun time, I wouldn't mind going back to if I get to play it with friends. Also Chris Redfield got some straight ♥♥♥♥♥♥♥ turkeys strapped onto arms. ♥♥♥♥♥♥♥♥♥, how did he get that big? What's in his protein powder? Is his average bench 500kg, and does the earth shake with a single haymaker?
