This game is a port of the Games for Windows - Live version that was released in 2009. If you buy the Untold Stories Bundle here on Steam, it will be the same as upgrading to Resident Evil 5 Gold Edition.
Modeled estimate, not a reported figure. How we estimate →
Prices
Each in the currency that store quoted — not converted: the gap between two rows is the publisher's pricing, not an exchange rate.
Availability
We put this game to every storefront we collect. A market that answered not sold has told us something about the game; a market we never asked has not, and the two are never drawn the same.
Charts
Each storefront's own chart, in its own country — the closest public signal to sales where none is published. A country missing from a list is one we don't collect there, not one where the game doesn't chart.
No United States chart position — it charts only in the markets below.
Discounts
Every price cut of more than 20% we have observed, in each market that quoted one, with this game's chart position on either side of it. These are episodes, not a model: a sale is one event, and one event cannot tell you what the next one will do.
Reviews, worldwide (the counter carries no country): 22.14/day in the week to Sep 8 → 33/day in the week after.

14 of 15 markets; the rest we haven't asked for this title, not markets where it is unavailable.
14 on sale1 answered “not sold”0 we did not ask
The 1 “not sold” market is read from the Steam price pass of Sep 7: that day the store answered for this game elsewhere and gave no price there. The 14 priced markets are the same rows as the table above — each the latest price we hold, dated here when it is older than that pass. The 0 marked “not asked” were not put to this store at all — either it has no storefront there or we do not collect it yet, and neither is a statement about the game. A refusal is a refusal on one day; a store can list a title again tomorrow.
Reviews, worldwide (the counter carries no country): 33.63/day in the week to Jul 21 → 38.4/day in the week after.
For scale, across Steam · Top Sellers · Brazil over the last 30 days: the 23 chart moves that followed a price cut of more than 20% went a median of 14 places towards #1, and the 2,420 moves with no price cut behind them went 2 away. One store, one chart, one country — it is the only place we have enough observations to say even that.
Prices outside the United States have been collected since 6 August 2026 and chart positions since 19 July 2026, so a cut older than that has no market to compare and a market that joined later has no history yet. Nothing here is converted between currencies.

!DO NOT PLAY THIS GAME WITHOUT A FRIEND IT IS ONLY FUN IF YOU HAVE FRIEND TO GOOF AROUND WITH! To preface, I'm not a hardcore RE fan, I've played RE2 and 4 Remakes, RE7 up to the boat section which I stopped playing halfway through, and RE9. Those were RE experiences before this game. And let me say, I love the RE games I have played, and totally want to play more like the HD Remake of 1, and 3 Original. My first RE game was RE2 Remake and it was really my first Survival Horror game I've played iirc, and I had so much fun with it, it was awesome. I then played RE4 Remake and I LOVE IT SO MUCH. It's one of my favorite games of all time, and even repurchased it on PC just to play it modded, and have probably spent around 150 hours on that game alone. I then played RE 7 which was fun but I stopped at the boat section, and then RE9 which was good but had a lot of issues, but overall still worth playing imo. I've also watched a lot of videos on the other games and have a decent amount of knowledge on the rest of the franchise. Overall, my experience has been great with this experiences with not a single bad game...yet... I knew RE5 had a bad rep going into it, and I def wasn't gonna play it solo. Thxfully I had a friend to play it with, and tldr, this game is only fun and good in the sense of fun bad game to laugh at with a friend, not as a serious well made experience. Its like watching the FNAF movies with a friend, the movie isn't good, but watching how bad it is with a friend can be really fun. Was my experience overall good playing this? Yes actually, but all for the wrong reasons. This game is incredibly unbalanced and easy, even on the hardest gamemode outside of Professional. The only challenging part was the first level village fight with the executioner. After that, me and my friend never were challenged outside of three boss fights that weren't really hard, just moreso confusing as ♥♥♥♥. My fav part of this game was buying a crap ton of landmines since you get so many per purchase and each purchase is pretty cheap, and just spamming them everywhere. This trivialized many encounters and fights, and while it was hilarious to watch, it was not well balanced at all. RPG's cost only 10000 and have no limit seemingly on purchases, meaning you can easily skip many encounters, such as the giant spider fight, which me and my friend beat in 5 seconds by just using two rockets. The Jill fight is incredibly funny and stupid, with her moving like Catwoman and this weird balance of shoot her but not too much or else you kill her and just spam QTE to defeat her. The second Wesker fight is just take out lights and shoot Wesker with a rocket and win, because somehow the superhuman Wesker can't see well in dim light??? And the final fight with Wesker is also just bad, follow the intented route and if you deviate even a smidge you lose, and figuring out what the game wants you to do is also just unintuitive as hell. The bonus DLC mission with Jill and Chris is super short, has ANOTHER CRAPPY WESKER FIGHT YOU HAD 4 CHANCES AND EACH SUCK, and spams one enemy for the entire run, and if you need to quit out for some reason the checkpoints reset and load you back to the start. The one with Jill and Josh was better, and the final rooftop fight was actually pretty exciting, but still not amazing. We played one or two matches of the Versus and Mercenaries modes, and it was just some dumb fun that was enjoyable, but only for an hour or two. Mercenaries with a friend probably seems where this game would be at its best as the Co-op gameplay would be important to maximize your score before time runs out, unlike in the Campaign where its just too easy. And there are so many other minor issues that just make this game not very fun, from limited inventory space leading you to only carrying two to three guns, and having barely any extra room for loot on the ground to pick up and give to your friend, or to craft a red herb with a green cuz you can't craft from the ground, to buggy enemies that get stuck in the DLC missions, to spamming knife attacks with a friend at windows or doors being full proof, to the story just being bland and cliche as hell but not in a purposefully comedic way like in RE4 since RE5 tries to be serious it seems but is super ♥♥♥♥♥♥♥ dumb??? And just so many nitpicks that build up that I have to stop here. Is the game fun? Yes, in a fun bad laugh at the game with a friend way. Is the game worth buying? If its on sell and you have a good friend to play with and enjoy fun bad games? Totally. Is the game worth buying and fun solo? Absolutely not. This game was only fun because I played it with a friend. Overall, as sad as I am to say, this is my first negative review of a RE game. Now time to go see if RE6 is any better lmao.
