My life would be complete with an Ashley and Grace whining three way. Just saying...
Firstly, I never played the original. As much as I wanted to like the game, I wouldn't recommend it to anyone outside of those that enjoy extremely high level difficulty/frustrating games. The game is gorgeous and has a decent story. Runs like butter on my (high end) machine. The gameplay is where the game loses me. It had a good difficulty up until I got to the castle. Once you get to the castle, you are constantly swarmed with enemies, have no ammo, and no recovery items. I was hopeful that things would slow down at some point but based on what I have read, it only gets worse as the game continues. Leon's walk is too slow and awkward, his run is too fast. Having to babysit Ashley once she shows up is also a huge PITA. Her AI is absolutely horrible and it adds nothing to the game but frustration. So here I am writing this review and uninstalling this beautiful game with ♥♥♥♥♥♥♥ gameplay.
