Before the mansion, before the destruction of Raccoon City, there was Resident Evil 0. Now remastered with improved visuals and sounds, as well as the all-new Wesker Mode, there's never been a better time to experience the origins of the Resident Evil story.

Prices
Each in the currency that store quoted — not converted: the gap between two rows is the publisher's pricing, not an exchange rate.
Availability
We put this game to every storefront we collect. A market that answered not sold has told us something about the game; a market we never asked has not, and the two are never drawn the same.
Discounts
Every price cut of more than 20% we have observed, in each market that quoted one, with this game's chart position on either side of it. These are episodes, not a model: a sale is one event, and one event cannot tell you what the next one will do.

A chance to play the very first RE game is a treat. Ground zero for a great franchise is worth the slow going and frustration that seems to be a CapCon trademark.

14 of 15 markets; the rest we haven't asked for this title, not markets where it is unavailable.
14 on sale1 answered “not sold”0 we did not ask
The 1 “not sold” market is read from the Steam price pass of Sep 13: that day the store answered for this game elsewhere and gave no price there. The 14 priced markets are the same rows as the table above — each the latest price we hold, dated here when it is older than that pass. The 0 marked “not asked” were not put to this store at all — either it has no storefront there or we do not collect it yet, and neither is a statement about the game. A refusal is a refusal on one day; a store can list a title again tomorrow.

For scale, across Steam · Top Sellers · Brazil over the last 30 days: the 23 chart moves that followed a price cut of more than 20% went a median of 14 places towards #1, and the 2,515 moves with no price cut behind them went 2 away. One store, one chart, one country — it is the only place we have enough observations to say even that.
Prices outside the United States have been collected since 6 August 2026 and chart positions since 19 July 2026, so a cut older than that has no market to compare and a market that joined later has no history yet. Nothing here is converted between currencies.

I do not enjoy this game, no boxes to store things and the character switching feels very gimicky. I will come back to it at a later date or wait for inevitable co-op remake (I'm not the kinda person who will only play remakes, I enjoy the classic games, I just think this game is ♥♥♥♥).

Highly recommended! A great entry point for the series—start here if you want to follow the story from the beginning. Expect a solid challenge during certain parts of the campaign!
This is an extremely conditional recommendation. I have enjoyed my time playing RE so far, started with the remake trilogy (2->4->3) and then playing RE1 HD remake. All fun experiences, really loved RE1R and RE2R particularly. I've beaten all of those previously mentioned titles on hard difficulty and have gone back through several playthroughs to mop up several other achievements. This will be the first game I do not plan on replaying, the game is simply too hard. To put it simply, I think this game requires too much optimization due to controlling two characters (due to the two health bars and ammo management). Even on its easiest difficulties, the game is still going to bite you in the ass if you are missing HP or are even somewhat low on ammo. Easy difficulty was relatively fine to get through in terms of ammo (heals were still relatively short), but for the first time, I was soft locked on the end of hard mode. My save is at the very last boss fight when you need to distract for Rebecca to open the roof. I do not have enough ammo to bait the Queen's attention and I can't get back to my knives since they are across the entire map, each time I have tried I either lose precious HP or die along the way. It really just sucked and wasn't fun lmao. I could have sat there and optimized it and potentially beaten it, I'm no stranger to challenging video games, but I just couldn't be bothered to. I had more fun going back and ripping through the game on easy just to get the final two achievements. I would recommend this game if you *really* like Resident Evil, but do not come near this one if it is your first rodeo. I wouldn't even consider playing this before beating RE1R on hard mode. This game is simply far less forgiving and seems like it's designed to punish you more intensely than other entries. Really kind of a miss for me, but it's still a decent RE experience when the enemies aren't spamming you and then grappling you instantly like its a Melee tech-chase. ♥♥♥♥♥♥' ♥♥♥♥♥♥♥♥ man. It's finally time to move onto RE7.
