Solo play is possible but significantly more punishing and less dynamic. The atmosphere is effective, with strong use of lighting, sound design, and environmental storytelling to create a constant sense of unease. Environments feel appropriately abandoned and oppressive, reinforcing the horror tone without relying heavily on scripted scares. Some limitations include visual simplicity compared to larger horror titles and occasional repetition in mission structure over extended play. However, the procedural design and co-op focus help mitigate this by creating unpredictable scenarios.
