Many games are similar to slay the spire format and fall flat. This is an exception. I love the idea of randomized decks representing 5 different classes during each run; this allows runs to be different each time. I love how challenging the game becomes and that you rely on the roguelite aspects after a defeat to become stronger for the next procedurally generated run. +Upgrades and enchantments of cards contributes to each run feeling new as well. +Each card has its own unique traits/categories it falls under which can be enhanced in many ways. I hope the game continues to get updates and expansions as this game is extremely promising. *TO DEVS - My only area of concern is that I am hoping for the talents area to be updated with more options and to not be limited to 0/1 or 0/5 for most choices - especially gold, health, and strength.
For the current price tag of 1,99 Euro during the sale this is an absolute steal! This game runs very well (did not expect it because its all 3D rendered), has permanent progression in form of unlocks and benefits and does certain things a bit different than similar games. The only thing i dont like right now is the graphics of the cards ... this background and border color and texture looks just very unsatisfying and bad to me - i dont know what it is but it triggers something in me XD. Still i already do recommend the game and will be back for more soon!
Visually this looks pretty cool, that's one reason it's addictive, there's a big collection of clothes, weapons, pet animals, cards. Took me 147 hours to get all the achievements.. at first I just enjoyed playing without doing much effort to figure out the best strategies though, so you can do it faster if you use your mind. For this price there's no need to hesitate getting it.
Perfectly fine Slay the Spire clone. Adds a pet as it's original idea.
#relapseruinedmylife Would have liked to see a Run History feature in the codex. Maybe it would've been unlocked later? Not sure. The map markers are a little too similar to each other. It makes the map difficult to decipher when compared to other games in the genre, especially at a quick glance. Would have liked a way to select cards with a click and cast them with another click instead of needing to drag and drop all the time. The combat camera moving around all over the place was a bit disorienting. Some missing player feedback, namely after card enchantments and level ups, would like at least a little fanfare to show what I've just done. Beginning a run was pretty intimidating for a new player with the multiple customization menus. Pressing play should not be an abrasive experience. Some cards are missing hint boxes for certain icons, like the gem thing or the agility icon. All in all, a clear love letter to STS and Monster Train. Still has quite a bit to go; has too much in some areas and too little in others. Excited to see where this studio goes with future projects.
价格便宜,玩起来也有自己特色(换装,宠物,天赋) 重复可玩性较高,看我时间就知道了 喜欢裸身垃圾装备(装备只和外观有关,没有属性设定)屠神
I recommend!
I'm addicted to this game, i love it so much
Relapse is a deckbuilding roguelike which we have seen many examples of it by now. It has some neat ideas and a huge potential if it keeps getting updates. Positives: + Good graphics for a Deckbuilder, I played many and this is one of the better ones, finally something 3D that looks decent + Gameplay is fun, it is your standard card battler, it keeps you going + Some combinations are fun to pull off + Good amount of unlockables + Leveling up classes and combining different card sets is entertaining. Although not all of them have good chemistry + Companions are a nice touch, adds an extra layer to the game with each of them having unique skills Needs to Improve: - While a nice touch, I think events randomly appearing on the map really limits your options. Most of these events are harmful to you so going through them doesn't make sense most of the time. They need to be drastically reduced and should appear on rare occasions - Difficulty ramps up too quickly. I think for new players to get a grasp of the game it would be better to drop enemy damage slightly early on - Music is just... low effort to say the least. It gets old really quick with repeated notes. There are really cheap alternatives you can get these days that are done by professionals - While 5 classes is not bad I think the game can use more classes, definitely more cards and more enemy variety - There are too many status effects and things get confusing and convoluted as you get further in the game. Some effects needs better explanation - There are many weapons you can gather in the game but they are only cosmetics. I think adding some minor stats on these can add an extra layer and choice for the players - Would be cool to have a gender option - Harmful status effects on your character should reset after battle and not carry on to your next fight - Minor gripe: The sound you hear when you are choosing new cards after the battle is really jarring. Something more chill would be nice I personally think Relapse is a game worth buying with its price point (Developer is really active on the forums and also adjusted regional pricing upon request so a that's a big plus for me). However I would not yet call it a completed game. Hopefully it sees consistent updates and reaches to its potential.
