About
Embark on an exciting adventure of epic proportions inspired by the rich folklore of south-eastern Europe.
In this turn-based roguelike card battler, take the role of a miller’s offspring, their life upended during a vicious raid, and shape their place in a war-torn medieval world.
Find companions to help you overcome adversity, train, collect, and equip your party with better gear to give yourself an edge in the tests ahead.
Your equipment and training dictate what cards are available, how many, and how powerful they are.
We fused dynamic initiative, simple positioning, turn delay, and turn-based card play into a rich and rewarding combat experience.
Not all cards are created equal; some are actions the characters will take during their turn, while others are reactive and must be kept in hand.
Manage your party's training to better prepare them for the trials that await them. Only through focused training combined with battle experience will they progress from novices to masters of their weapons of choice.
Your actions will determine how people will remember you. Will they sing heroic ballads in every tavern, or will they whisper tales untold about your infamous exploits?
Only time will tell if your stories will become Unsung Ballads.

Unsung Ballads features the core heart qualities so many expensive, over-bloated gaming companies cut out all together. Passionate developers, an art style that is at the same time nostalgic and friendly, and a world and gameplay which is cohesive and intriguing. This project has started the race with a great pace and with a floor plan that is sure to be beautiful once built. You can expect currently a short but curated experience that oozes with care, and that shows so much potential with time in the right hands, as it currently already is! Although I decided to purchase it to support the games I believe in, the dev doesn’t pressure anyone into buying it outright and instead encourages players and fans to play test it which is free. Great community and communication regarding bugs and features with the dev. Would definitely recommend and look forward to what the future holds.
My first review ever, I feel I should write one as this is a bit lack luster, and I suspect this has been abandoned.... I was enjoying this game until you hit the end after about 2-4 hours (At most). I would like to give this a positive review, and thought about it at the start... but there is not much content past a certain point. I will update this to a positive review if I see any movement, and something substantial added to this game. Until then, its negative. I would suggest to try the demo, and only play that for free. The paid for game has hardly any more content and I will be trying to get my money back as it is really not worth it at this point. Not even on discount, which is what I did. I understand this is EA game, but no updates for a year or more. This game only has about 2-4 hours of playtime. I messed around with some different builds and playstyles, and let the days pass to over 250 to see if some big boss would appear, or the bandits would get harder. They did not, and nothing happened. You are only left with a fully maxed character fighting bandits you can pretty much 1 hit. You can sometimes even 1 hit the entire enemy team in 1 turn if your cards line up right. The map is very short and is unfinished, you cannot level any further past a certain point as you simply cannot get "ballads" which is needed to upgrade your rank. The shops refresh every few days, but the gear doesn't get any better past "rare / blue" gear. I suspect the developer hasn't even bothered to make any further item adjustments. Anyone who sees this message, avoid this game unless the developer replies to this, or you see some more content added since this post. I liked this game, and it seemed like old school fun with a nice easy going game without the chaos of a million choices. But once you reach the end, there really isn't anything else to do. Avoid until you see some content added, and just go play the demo.
