Red Pistol is a western twin stick shooter where you fight zombies and bullet-hell bosses. There are four biomes, including a town and a vampire castle. You go through procedural-generated levels to find the boss and beat them. Easier said than done. In Red Pistol, every enemy will drop a skill crystal. Gain enough, and you'll level up. Then you'll have a choice of one of four skills to enhance. These range from extra bullets to causing enemies to bleed. There is also a bounty system, which goes up the better you do. The better you do, the harder the enemies. Also you'll run into a bounty-hunter mini-boss. Unfortunately, while there is a tutorial, it isn't explained at all. Like your bounty affects what weapons you can use. Red Pistol has a good catchy soundtrack, and good pixelated graphics. Unfortunately, on Steam Deck, the lowest resolution didn't fit on the screen, and higher resolutions made text impossibly small to read. Also the health bar should be in the HUD, not a tiny bar above your character. S ill, this is an amazing start, and I can't wait to see what comes next for the studio.
I love this game! The art is awesome, the music is great, the playing mechanics are great. One of the aspects that I love the most is how smooth the movements feel, it's flawless in that category. The team behind this game seems very proud of their work and it shows in the improvements. Can't wait to play more and see what lies ahead!
Great game
Jogo simplesmente perfeito, e feito por brasileiros fica ainda melhor
The VIBE of this game is immaculate. The pixel art is gorgeous and the gothic western theme is so cool. Soundtrack absolutely slaps, too.
This is simply a bad game! It fails in almost every aspect what makes a good rogue like (I played the game for about 3 hours- 2 hours offline) 1. The progression system is a joke: there is only two updates (the most boring ones: xp-gain and health!) 2. There are 8 weapons that can be unlocked after a huge grind fest, and not for money but for bounty -money????-wtf 3. Its grindy as hell 4. The levels are boring and all look the same 5. Minor flaws: No map or minimap. + you cannot even read your health bar because it is too small 5. Most important: the gameplay: it simply consist of kiting mobs and going in circles for hours which is exactly as much fun as it sounds like I actually cannot understand the good reviews. Maybe those guys have never played good rogue likes like Binding of isaac or Nuclear throne?
