Receiver 2 simulates every internal part of each firearm based on manufacturer schematics and gunsmithing resources. Learn exactly how each sidearm works, including how to load and unload them, clear malfunctions, and operate their safety features.

We put this game to every storefront we collect. A market that answered not sold has told us something about the game; a market we never asked has not, and the two are never drawn the same.

You aren't a walking juggernaut that can tank hits. You are a fragile person who will die after getting shot by a single bullet, or by getting tasered by an angry flying drone. You can be injured from jumping from too high of a height and will hobble around for a while until you recover. You can shoot yourself in the leg if you unholster and reholster too quickly. You WILL have a gun jam on you when you need it, and every potential encounter is a pop-quiz on if you have learned your firearm enough to disarm a turret that is aimed at you. Needless to say, Receiver 2 is a very fair but unforgiving game once you learn how to play by its rules and learn how to take things slow and carefully. Some have referred to this game as the "QWOP of guns" but that description feels a little inaccurate and reductionist because QWOP was made to be a frustrating rage game from the jump and the game's entire value is to be annoying to the player. On the other hand, Receiver 2 requires the player to press several keys on their keyboard to operate their firearm, sure, but it only feels alien until you have put some time into a particular gun until it just "clicks". R2 forces you to learn each firearm intimately until it begins to feel like second nature. Even if you don't like the idea of guns, I think that R2 does a fantastic job of simulating the mechanics, malfunctions and quirks of several famous firearms while teaching you how to diagnose them when things do go wrong. If have an open mind for "technical" games and you like roguelikes and getting back up again after failure, I would recommend giving this game a try.

14 on sale1 answered “not sold”0 we did not ask
The 1 “not sold” market is read from the Steam price pass of Aug 22: that day the store answered for this game elsewhere and gave no price there. The 14 priced markets are the same rows as the table above — each the latest price we hold, dated here when it is older than that pass. The 0 marked “not asked” were not put to this store at all — either it has no storefront there or we do not collect it yet, and neither is a statement about the game. A refusal is a refusal on one day; a store can list a title again tomorrow.

absolutely phenomenal game
Immersive, very tense, and unique. Not your traditional FPS. Every component of your gun and turrets are simulated. It's honestly pretty enjoyable and challenging. Takes some time to learn all the controls for how to handle your gun but it's pretty satisfying to perform all the actions smoothly once you get used to it.
