Game was interesting but then the devs decided to sue Valve with a BS lawsuit. Blacklist this company, they are scum.
The game is pretty good especially for the time constraints in which it was conceived and initially constructed. However, I can’t recommend buying it from a developer who didn’t read the legal agreements of a platform that he signed up to be part of or that pushes a lawsuit that will punish Steam for the fact that it has just built a better platform than its competitors.
If this was free I would recommend it, but as a paid product it could of been better The Good: -Decent gun handling -Costs nothing -Runs on anything The Bad: -Kill through walls turrets -Kamikaze drones with barely any time to react -Everything is randomized The Ugly: - [strike]Can't extract ammo from a magazine directly[/strike] You can by pressing R with the magazine out -Drones sometimes die from a single bullet or require the whole mag -You have to collect the 11 tapes in one go, there is no checkpoints
You have no idea how much I appreciate the sheer attention to detail on the firearms here. Including being able to spin the revolver chamber. That didn't need to be there, but they put it there anyway. Even doing research on the methods of utilizing flashlights with firearms. It's really impressive. Shame about the devs pushing a lawsuit on the one online game ecosystem that has a modicum of consumer/dev protections. Even now, the company they're suing is protecting their review scores on other games. "Period of off-topic review activity detected, Excluded from the Review Score (by default)" Golly, what a TERRIBLE influence on the industry Valve is.

I've played only this version of the game; haven't seen the sequel. At first Receiver seems daunting - you're doing something that feels like no other shooter. But in time as you learn how to operate your weapon you fall into a rhythm. Even your shooting becomes more deliberate, calculated. The fact that you've got to handle individual rounds and follow a process of loading your weapon becomes a sort of meditation in itself, a series of actions and inputs that quickly becomes muscle memory and runs on autopilot. At first you're fumbling your magazines and bullets, spilling them everywhere as you learn. But later, it's a sort of strange calm in which to gather your thoughts and take stock of your resources between engagements. Survive a close call and eliminate the threat? Inhale. Exhale. Find a safe spot. Pull back the slide just a little, and check your chamber. Remove and check your magazine. Stow the partial mag. Draw a full magazine and slam it home. Safety on. Holster the weapon. Pull your partial magazine and start slotting loose rounds in one by one. Not enough to fill it this time around - you're starting to run low. Make every shot count and keep your eyes open. Stow magazine. Draw weapon. Safety off. Draw back the slide to check the chamber one last time. On to the next room. It feels surprisingly satisfying having to do it all manually.
gereksiz zor ama güzel düşünülmüş bir oyun.
fun. lots of workshop content including guns, maps and tapes.
It's sad what you've become Wolfire
