About
Rebel Galaxy is a swashbuckling space adventure, with action-packed combat, exploration, discovery, trade, and “negotiation” with the outlandish denizens at the edge of the known universe.
As the commander of an immensely powerful star destroyer, you’ll battle pirates, explore anomalies, befriend aliens, scavenge battle wreckage, mine asteroids, and discover artifacts. Choose your path as a roguish do-gooder, crafty space-trader or power-hungry privateer – or maybe a little of each! Buy larger and more powerful craft with your hard-earned credits, and outfit them with a variety of wicked weapons and defenses. Set in a galaxy of fantastic sights, and secrets to be found, Rebel Galaxy is above all a space epic of adventure, exploration, and combat.
The edge of the universe is a pretty dangerous place, so watch your back.

I'm installing it again for the 3rd time right now because once again I have an urge to play through it.

For scale, across Steam · Top Sellers · Poland over the last 30 days: the 21 chart moves that followed a price cut of more than 20% went a median of 12 places towards #1, and the 2,501 moves with no price cut behind them went 1 away. One store, one chart, one country — it is the only place we have enough observations to say even that.
Prices outside the United States have been collected since 6 August 2026 and chart positions since 19 July 2026, so a cut older than that has no market to compare and a market that joined later has no history yet. Nothing here is converted between currencies.

I had a lot of fun with this game. It does have a lot of copy paste missions and a limited selection of weapons and ships but the gameplay was pretty solid. It also has a sweet option to import your own music. I wish more games would do this. Like 99% of games the first thing I do is disable the music because I just don't really enjoy listening to it. Allowing me to add my own selection made this way more enjoyable. The game does have a slight learning curve to it. Took me a bit to figure out the map and what all of the icons were. The combat plays really well and is super fun imo. I will admit that once you get the best ship and guns you're pretty much unstoppable. You just clobber everything but that is super late game gear so I suppose you should by that point. All in all I think anyone that likes space combat games will enjoy this.
Best space arcade game for capital size ships. Challenging enough but not too difficult with a great music playlist. Although it could definitely do with more tracks. Instead of utilizing a 3D space. You act more like a battleship on water able to go forward, back, left, or right. You cannot move up or down but if anything this helps the game much more. Giving a easy to grasp combat system anyone can quickly jump into. Though the missions are mostly the same. Seeing your ship grow in scale and firepower can feel amazing as you become a dreadnought.
A Game of Light and Shadows Right from the get-go, this game had me hooked. It boasts an intriguing story, especially at the outset, which is a strong point for many indie and semi-indie games. However, it's not without its challenges. The learning and difficulty curve can feel a bit off-kilter. One moment, you're breezing through battles against manageable foes, and the next, you're up against battleships that seem nearly invincible. It reaches a point where the gameplay can become exceedingly repetitive, especially if you're aiming to snag all the achievements. Brace yourself for a marathon of event replays. The combat mechanics are somewhat quirky at first, and the lasers? Way overpowered. But it's nothing that completely derails the experience. Despite these hiccups, I firmly believe the game is well worth your time. It’s a great game that shines despite its imperfections, offering a unique blend of challenge and charm. Definitely give it a whirl if you’re looking for something that's engaging and capable of keeping you on your toes. Good experience in STEAMDECK overall
Clearly the difficulty system especially for missions is bust. "Low risk" missions end up spawning in massive amounts of enemies you couldn't possibly beat, very early in the game. The controls are clunky and constantly find lock failing for seemingly no reason making combat even more difficult, on top of an already inflated difficulty brought by ships who can travel 3D and fire 3D, yet you can't. Literally spent almost an hour just repeating the same 3 starting quests only to constantly get pummelled just after the third by low risk missions or being ripped out of warp randomly by a massive fleet of pirates, regardless of ship upgrade combos etc. And there's no save slotting, if you blow up, you'll get a tiny rollback to the start of the fight, so you can be repeatedly smacked around or start the 'entire' game all over again. It's just punishing for no reason and not fun.
