Great game. Remembered good all days when I was playing Freelancer. Solid 8.5 out of 10.
Pros: pre-game launcher, moderate graphical settings menu, vertical sync is off by default, windowed full screen mode (it is borderless), badass soundtrack, badass narration, voice acting & decent lip sync, tutorial available, there is a “commodities market” to buy/sell items for traders, side missions & random encounters in the map Cons: bullet sponge enemies, the interface could be better, only 12 save slots, I got stuck with a mining main quest Overall, it took me about 3 hours until I had to delete the game, unfortunately. I see the potential of the game, it just needs better design. Rebel Galaxy is a miss

For scale, across Steam · Top Sellers · Brazil over the last 30 days: the 24 chart moves that followed a price cut of more than 20% went a median of 9 places towards #1, and the 2,404 moves with no price cut behind them went 2 away. One store, one chart, one country — it is the only place we have enough observations to say even that.
Prices outside the United States have been collected since 6 August 2026 and chart positions since 19 July 2026, so a cut older than that has no market to compare and a market that joined later has no history yet. Nothing here is converted between currencies.
Rebal Galaxy
This game is truly something, Something remarkable and amazing! I went into this game not knowing anything or anywhat is going on therefore my blind playthrough I learnt a lot of mistakes that would of course be known that I need to take advantage of the mechanics and everything in the game to allow me to improve.
Story
The story in this game is basic and pretty much understanding of what's going on f rom start to finish however the story blends really well in this game universe. one thing that might be of putting it that there's no self adjusting to what difficulty to play on but without spoilering this game (despite being a 10 year old game) It works well why this game doesn't have a difficulty setting. the game isn't hard when you start getting the hang of things and having the rough understanding on everything.
Visuals
this game looks really good especially back 10 years ago! the way the ships look and space is really incredible especially as a space person I really like the way this game visually looks!
Sound design
The Sound design is also good! the way the ships sounds and asteroids. along with shooting the turrets on the ship, warp drive. Just really good!
Gameplay
Gameplay will get some getting use to if your not use to this type of gameplay however it's pretty straight forward which is what I like. It also fits the feel for this game and of course being in space. There's no first person to switch to but honestly this game is unique and great without needing it. Could future games maybe pull of first person with this franchise yes. Would it necessarily need it for this franchise to be good no this game is able to be great without needing everything all in once.
Optimisation
This game runs smooth! Again this is a 10 year old game so this game really does run well. I had everything max and no issues, very and I mean very little bugs at least for me which is great! especially with how old games would usually occur having bugs. But this game is smooth to run!
Factions
The factions on this have enough to keep you up on your feet with fighting could it of needed maybe more factions maybe but as far as I'm aware this is the first rebel galaxy game so honestly the amount of factions in this game is enough for you to have plenty enough to do in this game. Also you can also decide who you want to be neutral or friendly or even go far on being enemies with.
Ships
Plenty enough Ships to keep the replay ability going! and have fun with all the ships! Really great to use and easy to understand what the ships pros and cons are.
Achievements
The achievements for the most part is not that part pretty easy to get some grindable ones. But one of the ones that I found out the hard way with is the kill 20 pirates lords Once you got a ship good enough to destroy them. To get this I'd simply save and quit launch back in destroy the ship and quit the game without saving - ALT F4 and rinse repeat otherwise I'd give the achievements a 9/10
Overall
This Game is one of my favourite third person open world space exploration and sci fi games I've played! I should also mention the interactions with characters in this is great! I loved the intro to as well in this game! I'd easily give this game around a 10/10 of course most games for people will be a 9/10 as all games have there own issues but I truly believe this game deserves a 10/10 from me. Gameplay Combat Visuals story just everything is amazing! I'd definitely recommend this game to people that are into these games featured into the tags. Edit
Great single player space game with a great soundtrack sharing songs with Elite Dangerous Odyssey. After 7 hours I have never left the first star system and there's been lots to do.
Rebel galaxy IS awesome in every aspect unique third person ship flight ,music and locked in 2 maps sort to speak and the Rebel GALAXY OUTLAW is disappointing nothing like first rebel galaxy its first person flight simulator , they made completly different game for no reason ((((((((( WE NEED REBEL GALAXY 1 CONTINUATION )))))))))))))))))))))))
Played it years ago on console, still great on pc, wish there were more games just like this but with more ships/weapons.
BORING. Bad story. Bad combat. Bad progression. Bad space travel. I got this 90% off and I'm still refunding it.
A RPG type space-ship themed game complete with complex yet easy-to-understand combat, economics, and tactics. Control your customizable space ship class modeled after the traditional ship types (destroyers, cruisers, etc) and remodel the best loadout for your preferred playstyle. A wide variety of side missions and exploration bonuses reward those willing to spend time to strengthen their ships outside of the main campaign missions, and the factions you choose to ally with will play a key part in future gameplay, yet opportunities to change their allegiances always abound. Somewhat overwhelming for new players due to its vast scope, this game offers space-ship combat against all types of foes in a simple yet complex layer of fighting. Equip different weapons and boosts to punch through those primary shields and damage the vulnerable hulls of your enemies. Build a robust economy by engaging in a number of different financial transactions, ranging from mining asteroids, salvaging floating loot, or obliterating bounties, and use those funds to further upgrade your ship. There are only 3 group factions you should try to be friendly with: Citizenry, Militia, and Red Devil Pirates, although the latter two are at odds with each other. This game offers beautiful lighting, combat effects, and background imagery, especially given that it's not as complex as other triple AAA games out there. A wide variety of sound effects assist in immersing your gaming experience in the vast beyond, and a keen ear is required to pick up every opportunity that arises. However, this game truly shines during its combat phases, and simply watching the space battles can prove entertaining enough - just watching the title screen offers a rare occurrence of actual in-game footage without embellishment, and is beautiful in of itself; its practically a movie. Despite not being a big title game, the amount of detail in nearly all aspects of gameplay, such as enemy behaviors and spawn locations is staggering, and definitely deserves its own separate shout out, and the detailed gamer will be sure to appreciate their presence. As with most games nowadays, I highly recommend people to have temperature monitoring and temperature control via throttling to prevent overheating. I use "Core Temp" and "Throttle Stop" myself, and despite energy reduction, I have never once experienced a crash in my game. This engine is exceedingly stable, and even the super rare lag spike occurrence never lasts for more than 1 second, often due to a sudden appearance of multiple enemies. Load times are also quite short, with only one initial load screen at the beginning of the game boot, lasting ~3 seconds or so. As mentioned previously, this game can be quite overwhelming for new players, as they discover that they need to use a large portion of their keyboard quite often. Players can become lost on how to access certain menu options, such as viewing faction relationships and ship status in addition to learning all the different options and customizables this game has to offer. Players will also discover that the game follows where your camera is pointing and not necessarily where your ship is pointing (for example, if your ship is near and pointing towards a space station, you can't dock unless you turn your camera to look at the station), and this may serve to be confusing and disjointed for some. One particular annoyance is the space travel, where your vehicle is automatically dropped out of warp when you run near some random rock that won't even hit your ship because it's slightly above or below it, but the game deems it as a proximity hazard; this often forces people to warp in and out of space repeatedly, and while factually accurate, gameplay wise it is somewhat tiresome. Although I previously praised the AI behavior, certain 'escort' missions can prove exceedingly annoying to accomplish, as 'friendly' allies conduct their business with room temperature IQ, such as flying their lone ship into a blockade when they're supposed to be going THE OPPOSITE DIRECTION (nevertheless, I digress). "Grinding" or "farming", while not a big issue, is still a requirement, and some individuals may not be so invested in pursing the unlimited side missions this game has to offer, especially when the defining trait of a ship is the equipment it carries and not necessarily the ship itself. All in all, a beautiful, detailed, and exceedingly stable game with complex yet simultaneously simple to perform gameplay. For those looking for a space ship themed game without the massive middle finger of PvP centered guilds, where you're always limited due to what your clan or an opponent's clan allows you to do, this game is a nice alternative. Definitely give this a try, and for its low price of $10(?), this 'indie' game is more than worth its weight; once again, a shout out to its developers, because this is NOT a triple AAA game, yet in terms of a game's core mechanics, this game pulls through in spades. Highly recommend! Thanks for reading~
