Rave Heart+

One of the better RPG Maker games out there! I loved every minute! A great story filled with emotions, well written characters with varying personalities, and fun gameplay!

Good Sci-fi opera RPG. - Nice tilesets. - Futuristic setting is nice. - Fun rock paper scissor battle system. - Good story about politics and betrayal. Drama. Drama. Highly polished game. Be warned, there's a lot of cutscenes in the first hours of the game.

I went into Rave Heart+ expecting a decent indie RPG, but it ended up completely exceeding my expectations in the best way possible. The battle system is one of the standout highlights. It’s incredibly easy to pick up—even if you’re not someone who usually plays RPGs, you’ll understand how things work almost immediately. But what makes it special is that it never feels shallow. There’s enough depth and variety to keep things engaging, so both newcomers and more experienced players can have a great time with it. What really elevates combat, though, are the little details. The custom battle animations are flashy and satisfying without dragging things out, and the voice clips during battle actions add so much personality. Hearing characters shout signature phrases mid-fight makes every encounter feel more dynamic and alive. It turns even standard battles into something genuinely fun to watch and play through. What really pulled me in, though, is the lore of the galaxy. There’s a real sense of scale and mystery here, and the planet-building feels thoughtfully crafted rather than just background flavor. You can tell a lot of care went into making this universe feel alive, and it made me want to dig into every bit of story and dialogue I could find. Visually, the game is just stunning. The art design is full of personality, with vibrant environments and a cohesive style that gives the game its own identity. And the character portraits? Seriously incredible. They add so much emotion and charm to every interaction—it’s one of those details that elevates the entire experience. On top of that, the voice acting is fantastic. Performances feel natural and expressive, which really helps sell both the emotional moments and the lighter, funnier scenes. It’s clear a lot of effort went into making the characters feel real, and it absolutely pays off. All in all, Rave Heart+ feels like a passion project in the best sense of the word. Great gameplay, rich galaxy-building, gorgeous presentation, and memorable characters—it checks all the boxes and then some. If you’re even remotely into RPGs, this is one you shouldn’t sleep on.

Rave Heart is a great JRPG / RPGM game. The game's custom animations and battlers add depth and immersion to battles, while the story is engaging and has a great cast of characters. Mind-blowing cutscenes and plot twists keep you on the edge of your seat. Highly recommended for fans of classic JRPG or RPG Maker games. 10/10.

As an early adopter I played Rave Heart through early demo's and even the completed Non-Steam version. The game is simply amazing and the storytelling is excellent. Rave Heart grips you from the very beginning and takes you on a fast paced thrill ride of an adventure. I'm so happy that it is available on steam and I'm looking forward to going through it all over again and pick up all the achievements! While I did play this game for free, I'm buying copies for my friends. Hope you enjoy it as much as I did!

Please, please play this game if you even have the slightest interest in final fantasy or classic jrpg's. a wonderful addition to my log, with some great (and simpable) characters and settings.

I have only played up until the first boss but what I have played so far is exceptionally good storytelling, more than what may be seen on the surface. This game may use existing assets but you will find if you play that the story inside is very well directed. And actually, surprisingly, the gameplay is super solid too. I was greatly surprised by this entry, since it is a lot more emotionally affecting and gameplay-strong than it may look on the surface. I will continue to play this when I get time (hard to come by for me nowadays!) But what I have played is so good. This game is excellent! A+++
