About
RAM is a top-down roguelike shooter with a defining twist: you don’t have a body. You play as a rogue AI, jumping between enemy robots to survive. Turn your enemies into your weapons and fight your way through a post-apocalyptic world run by quirky robots.
Every enemy is a potential host. Switch control at a moment’s notice between unique enemy types, each with a distinct moveset and playstyle, and their own arsenal of upgrades to unlock.
Digital pets. Student projects. Sentient memes. Within a year, they were all that remained of intelligent life. After ten, it was just the strong ones. And in 2120… one of them made you. How much longer until there’s nothing left at all?
Traverse the ruins of the human world across multiple procedurally-generated levels, and contend with the eccentric mechanical societies that have risen to inhabit them.
RAM expands the style systems seen in games like Devil May Cry and Ultrakill by making style points in-run currency. Master combat techniques and execute trickshots to earn a diverse array of upgrades that modify how each host robot functions, then pit your accumulated strength against dangerous bosses with their own unique swap-related mechanics.

Too much dialogue, the game has a vibe that it thinks it's the funniest / most clever thing ever created, and it's so insufferable that it gets in the way of actual gameplay, there's no option to instantly try another run, you need to go through 4 different screens just to start again, the actual combat is okay I guess but in my opinion the game drops way too much information early on. Swapping between bodies has a bunch of rules that makes the combat feel extreme and merciless without any build up to it. The game has some charm but it's sniffing its own farts too much, it's an okay roguelike but all things surrounding it makes it a experience that tests your patience instead of letting you just play the game already.
The only RAM you'll ever afford.
Its so sad ai is causing the price of this game to skyrocket.
I spent so long laughing at the genuinely amazing writing that I forgot to learn the controls. i suck ass at this game, 11/10
A fun roguelike about swapping between characters. The design is smart and encourages/rewards skilled and fancy play; It's really satisfying to do a difficult trick shot and have the game reward you for it! The art and music are also top notch. Pick this up if you want some roguelike mayhem.
The game feels incredible to play, although some questlines are very unintuitive (and not in the "oohh I'm finding secrets!" way, it's more the "what do I do here?/that's it?" (the main aphid questline felt like all setup, delivering half a punchline and walking away)). The only gameplay issue I've had is that Tachi rallying feels undoable on keyboard, the swing is unintuitive and it feels like you have to be in multiple places at once. But as I said, the core gameplay feels like crack once you get over the earlygame slump (like most good roguelites).
Wait the deltarune theory guy made a game
I'm not crazy far in, but man this game is just really fun and unique. Literally zero complaints thus far, I highly recommend giving it a try (especially on sale).
probably some of the weirdest feeling gameplay of anything ive ever played in terms of trying to get better Either way I would die for John Steeltoe
Was GENUINELY excited to play a new indie roguelike made by one of my favorite Deltarune YouTubers but the game just crashes if it's open for a few minutes. Minimized, maximized, etc. It just crashes if you play for a few minutes which makes the game LITERALLY unplayable. I can't make any real progress cuz it just crashes. I was genuinely so excited to try this game but it just flat out does not work. I've tried both launch opens, but after 6 attempts I just gotta pack it up. This game does not run right on my computer.
