About

Detective Michael Stone arrives in the small town of Pineview to assist the local police force with a seemingly simple case - A couple is found dead in their kitchen. The locals believe it to be a case of murder-suicide, their speculation fueled by rumors of the turbulent nature of the couple's relationship.
Is it just small-town gossip, or is there some truth to the rumors?
Help Detective Stone, assisted by the driven and empathetic Amy Blunt, discover the truth behind Chris and Diane's story. But be warned: the further he pursues the case, the more his own past shall come back to haunt him. And the closer his sanity will be pushed to the edge.
It isn't much of a detective game so much as a visual novel. There are too many cutscenes. They are tedious. Dialogue would have been better. I wanted to find clues not see the relationship of characters play out. Not sure if I want to continue.
Rainswept is a good narrative game where you play as a detective to solve a murder. The designs are great and the ambiant is cozy. I recommend it!!! 💗💗💗
Rainswept – Brief Review Rainswept truly took me by surprise with how emotionally rich and atmospheric it is. The storytelling is heartfelt and mature, with well-written dialogues that make every character feel believable. The beautiful scenery adds a quiet charm to the experience, often saying as much as the story itself. The soundtrack, while subtle, fits the tone perfectly and gently pulls you deeper into the mystery. What really stands out is the way the game handles its central murder mystery. It keeps you guessing till the very end, all while exploring themes of grief, trauma, and the fragile nature of relationships. By the time the truth unfolds, you can’t help but feel genuine pity and sorrow for the couple and the heartbreaking path they were forced to take. My Ratings: Story: 5/5 Music: 3.5/5 Graphics: 5/5 Optimisation: 4.5/5 Overall, Rainswept is a powerful indie experience — emotional, atmospheric, and absolutely worth playing at least once.
Rainswept tells a great story, both through a current and a past perspective. At first when you approach the game you might think "Oh haha, it's another Twin Peaks game! Even the police station looks the same!" but no, it's not. It is so much more and different. The characters in this game really feel like they all have depth. They have their individual background stories, all their lives are going on. You play as the hard-boiled detective from the city assisting the local police in figuring out what happened in a shooting. But you also get to follow the lives of the two victims, which is something that's quite unusual - especially in a video game. I recommend this game and I will definitely check out other titles from this developer!
To start off: the backgrounds are absolutely gorgous and the sound track amazing. It deals with very heavy themes. Problem is the game didn't engage me, while the backgrounds are pretty the character art is overly simplistic, the mystery didn't really engage me and neither did the characters. In the end I just didn't enjoy this game much.
Beautiful game!
I've only been playing for an hour and a half but I'm giving up. First of all, it's more of a visual novel than a proper point & click game, so there's not much game to play. Still, that's not the worst. The worst is that you spend most of your time walking from one place to the next at an extremely slow pace. There's a map but there are no shortcuts. It's really infuriating. Plus on Mac there isn't even a "run" option so it literally takes forever. The story is interesting and I'd really like to know how it ends but the gameplay is just terrible. Not recommended unless you have the patience of a saint.
This is actually a really good story! The game play is meh, but the story is really good.
a really nice little story. not a typical detective game, focused on dialogue and atmosphere not on finding clues. quite beautiful though. drink a tea, get swept up in the melancholy
