Still waiting for chapter 2.
A nice twist on a classic point-and-click adventure games, and the combat has been designed in a very interesting way. Both turn-based encounters and hacking challenges require some thinking, although nothing too hard here. A decent story (to be continued, however, I haven't heard any rumours about the second part, sadly), very good voices and music for this budget.

Rain of Reflections is a game set in a world where there are no children. In other words, a paradise! Oh wait, it's supposed to be a dystopian future! Oh well! While the presentation is fantastic, the gameplay is a lacking. There are three types of puzzles and all of them are pitifully easy. Then the XCOM style combat becomes tedious, because people in this world are so ♥♥♥♥♥♥♥ amazing that they can dodge 10 bullets in a row if they have even a shred of motivation left. The premise and world are interesting, but it's not really explained why nobody can have children anymore. There are also choices that you can make to change the story, but you don't see them play out, as the latest and only chapter in the trilogy was released 3 years ago by the time of writing this review. Although the ambition of this indie project is admirable, I don't recommend getting it, as it is an unfinished game that is mediocre at best. 2/5
This is an odd game. It's part adventure, part turnbased with a odd computer hacking mini game. Over all the game play is fairly strait forward, point and click your way around with some turn based combat as the story unfolds before you. The story side of things is pretty good. The only real issue is because the game is short it sorta throws you in the deepened with out much idea what is going on. By the time you really start to understand things it's over and leaves you on a cliff hanger. If you can handle that i'd say give the game a try. Who knows if it will ever get more but if it did i would pick it up for sure. I won't hold my breath on seeing more though as it seams unlikely but i can hope. Short and sweet and well worth the ride.
Fun and interesting story. It needs a follow up.
This game is an interesting take on the turn-based tactics, with no real combat and more of a choose your own adventure style story (but not sure it actually branches) I would recommend it, but with some reservations: Strengths: Graphics - quite excellent given its indie nature Gameplay - interesting ideas and great mini-games Puzzles - encounters feel like puzzles to be solved Challenges: Animations - while graphics are great some animations, especially character dialogue are a little stiff Story - while interesting and potentially deep it is VERY short (about 4 hours) and ends on serious cliffhanger. Future - not sure this title is popular enough to get a Part 2 - so is this all we'll get?
From what I've read about the length, not recommended for full price. In my own run (not complete), things started to get tedious within the first hour, so perhaps from gameplay stand point, this may be somewhat too unpolished to recommend. It tries to combine point-and-click adventure with turn-based combat/stealth and hacking puzzles, but that may actually be the reason why pacing feels off. People like to mention X-Com, but I wouldn't even bring that game into this discussion. Every game with minimal cover-oriented turn-based combat should NOT in my opinion be directly compared to X-Com. It would be like comparing GTA V to Assetto Corsa as a racing game... you get the point. HOWEVER, the premise is intriguing and visuals are mostly very good, so there was clearly some amount of care put into crafting a story and atmosphere. Sadly this story will apparently not continue. Thumbs up for a good effort nonetheless.
