For scale, across Steam · Top Sellers · Brazil over the last 30 days: the 23 chart moves that followed a price cut of more than 20% went a median of 14 places towards #1, and the 2,515 moves with no price cut behind them went 2 away. One store, one chart, one country — it is the only place we have enough observations to say even that.
Prices outside the United States have been collected since 6 August 2026 and chart positions since 19 July 2026, so a cut older than that has no market to compare and a market that joined later has no history yet. Nothing here is converted between currencies.

Love this game. It's simple, easy to pick up and play.
Bought this hoping for more of the same from the first Railway Empire, but with the glitches and frustrations fixed. Played the first, quite short campaign, and it was okay. Few quirks, but okay. Then, I made my second mistake, buying the DLC's. So what was the first mistake? Well, it wasn't cheap to buy just to enjoy a short initial campaign. The DLC's though, oh dear. Glitches, crashes, gameplay slow on a pretty powerful system with plenty of ram and CPU grunt, and gameplay tedious in the extreme. I just wish they'd go back and release new campaigns for the first Railway Empire, and I can go back to having fun - which this version isn't. I cannot recommend it on the basis of the above. Having added many more hours to the game, its prompting me to add to my review. Fair enough. Finally, I found a DLC I enjoyed. The Swiss DLC is good, but frankly, its the only one I can happily recommend. I stated above that what this version of RE lacked was fun, and now, several more hours playing time later, I wholeheartedly stand by my original statement. It can be challenging, but fun it ain't.
Played the s*** out of RE1 and loved it, this game is a great successor. Improves upon A LOT of track building aspects, the city building and economy aspects are improved as well. 5/5
