About

The dragons have been popping peglins and stealing all of your gold for as long as you can remember. Enough is enough. It's time to venture through the woods, conquer the fortress, and delve into the heart of the dragon's lair to take back what's yours and teach those dragons a lesson.
Peglin plays like a combination of Peggle and Slay the Spire. The enemies are tough, and if you're defeated your run is over, but you've got powerful orbs with special effects and incredible relics that influence both your enemies and the physics you'll use to defeat them.
Collect and upgrade powerful orbs and relics to defeat the monsters and bosses that stand in your way.
Fight enemies with Pachinko-like gameplay - hit more pegs to do more damage. Use crit potions, refresh potions, and bombs wisely.
Explore a new map every time, with different orbs, enemies, and surprises along the way.

This game is like Maximilian Robespierre: revolutionary idea, amazing execution
Honestly having more fun with this game than I thought I was going to. Its satisfying finding the right combination of relics and balls to get the effects you want. Sure, there's still RNG and you won't find the exact effects you wanted but its fun to improvise off what you have. And the dopamine rush you get from watching the ball bounce all over the place is fun too. Definitely a plus to being able to save and quit the game whenever so I want get a few quick rounds in.
The coding could use some work, it feels bad in a "random" rogue-like to be able to face the same mini-boss twice in a row. There also could be some work done on the Navigation, as it has been noted by several people who have watched me play (and other users play on Youtube), that it sometimes seems premeditated on where it will drop the ball during Navigation between nodes, forcing you down certain paths even when you had an almost direct shot down another path. Other than these issues, it's a very fun game; addictive even when frustrating and love the art style.
This game has the potential to generate a lot of dopamine, but it's also unbalanced as hell -- at least from a synergy standpoint. Many of the relics are useless except for certain runs, at which point they become vital or game-breaking. The boss orbs are probably the hardest to evaluate, as they often give your attacks negative damage in exchange for powerful rewards. These reward can be great... as long as your orbs deal at least one damage. I just quit a run where I built around an orb that gives Spinfection (a debuff to enemies) on hit, got a boss reward/relic that said "status debuffs you inflict are twice as potent, but your attacks have -3/-0" ...and found out that if the orb doesn't deal any damage, it doesn't actually hit, rendering my build useless. Like, the game is fun, but you have to know how items interact, and if you don't know, you're punished big-time. Kinda sucks because of that.
the act 4 boss is so ♥♥♥♥♥♥♥ unfun and unbalanced. its a total RNG fest, the black holes just make it completely random, you can't reliably destroy the big orbs without special decks built entirely for that purpose with a ton of multiball, they respawn much too fast for you to control them, the max hp mechanic makes several builds completely useless and i could list a million different things. you shouldnt have to build the deck around the final boss for the whole game, and you shouldnt disincentivize whole archetypes of builds because the final boss will destroy them. thats just bad game design. in slay the spire for example, every build archetype was able to win against the heart, if the deck was broken enough. here you can have a build that literally oneshots the act 3 boss, that doesnt even put the final boss under 90%hp. bad, bad game design. this review will stand until they fix that mess of a fight.
This game made me try pegging
I actually don't really like playing this game because I hate the ball physics and wish the graphics were sliiiightly better on map navigation. But, if you like ball games like this, you'll REALLY enjoy this game. As a result, although the game isn't really for _me_, I can totally see this as a game that is for somebody else who enjoys this genre.
я хотел пройти в пеглине ачивку "пройти забег без подбора реликвий", но меня изнасиловали на втором этаже. а в пеглина я в итоге так и не зашел
