A lot of potential but too arcadey...A racket game should't have such unrealistic spins...The ball has bad physics and a lot of network problems...Nice idea with the club to socialise with others....
Glad this delivered above my already high expectations, very clever and satisfying implementation of tennis game mechanics within a relatively small VR space. If you're a fan of eleven table tennis you will very likely enjoy this.
If you can ignore the bugs this game is really good FUN. A nice sports game! I hope more online player will join soon... multiplayer was empty 0 other players. (edit: there are times when you find people online) Only the AI flaws are hard to ignore. Ball physic issues: A Ball falls through the racket when the ball movement is slow. Try to balance a ball and you will see the ball just penetrates the racket. Ball can't sit still, it will always bouce, it should add better friction and inertia. It feels like that in rare occasions that the ball penetrates the racket while playing (couild be cause of lag ? no interpolation of racket positions ?) AI flaws: I was so bad at start and lost every game untill i noticed some really bad AI Flaws. After i knew the AI cant handle high slow balls, i won every game after that. So my learning curve beating the AI is just toooooo rapidly from long time 0% wins to 100% wins in seconds. Well you could just pretend the AI can handle these balls and you dont use these balls they miss all the time. AI movements looking terrible, they look like they used "Reinforcement Learning" and did not try to mimic real human behaviours! Its fine to watch a Youtube Video about "Reinforcement Learning" and see some ragdolls moving in a creep way ... but it is really creepy and awefull to play a VR game and your oponent moves awkward crippled. (should smoothen the movements more or even mimic real players) After playaing 3h I recommand this game but i hope the AI flaws are just in early game and later they use different AI,
If you enjoy Eleven Table Tennis, you'll have fun with this game. It's thankfully a little more forgiving...
Fun game with ai as mp isnt working..
C'est fun
Racket Club, developed and published by Resolution Games, is a fresh and engaging virtual reality sports title that offers a unique twist on traditional racket sports. It combines elements from tennis, squash, pickleball, and table tennis, delivering a versatile and dynamic gameplay experience that feels both familiar and novel. Since its release, the game has attracted a solid following thanks to its immersive mechanics, smooth controls, and the sense of physicality that VR brings to racket-based competition. The core gameplay centers on fast-paced matches that can be played solo against AI or in competitive multiplayer modes. Whether you're engaging in intense one-on-one duels or teaming up for doubles, the game provides a variety of courts and environments that keep each match feeling fresh. One of the most interesting design choices is the inclusion of transparent walls in some courts, which not only adds a strategic dimension but also allows for creative shots and trick plays. This element encourages players to think beyond standard rallies, making positioning and shot placement critical aspects of the gameplay. Racket Club shines particularly when it comes to its social features. The game includes a lively community hub where players can gather, chat, and organize matches, creating a welcoming atmosphere that encourages friendly competition and interaction. Cross-platform multiplayer support further broadens the player base by enabling users on different VR devices to compete seamlessly. This commitment to social connectivity helps the game stand out in the VR sports genre, fostering a vibrant and active community that extends beyond just playing matches. Content-wise, Racket Club has been steadily evolving with meaningful updates that enrich the overall experience. The addition of pickleball and table tennis modes expands the game’s appeal and variety, catering to fans of multiple racket sports. Beyond gameplay, the social spaces have been refined to enhance player comfort and interaction, while the introduction of a cosmetic shop lets players personalize their avatars, adding a layer of self-expression to the competitive environment. These ongoing improvements show a dedication to keeping the game fresh and engaging over time. Graphically, Racket Club offers a polished and visually appealing experience. The environments are colorful and well-detailed, which, combined with smooth animations and realistic ball physics, creates an immersive sense of being on the court. The game also supports mixed reality on compatible devices, blending the virtual courts with the player’s physical space, which takes immersion to another level and adds to the excitement and realism of matches. Overall, Racket Club is a standout VR title that successfully merges solid sports gameplay with vibrant social features and continuous development. Its intuitive controls, strategic gameplay, and welcoming community make it a must-try for both casual players and competitive VR enthusiasts. Resolution Games has crafted an experience that not only entertains but also encourages player interaction and growth, securing Racket Club’s place as a compelling option in the world of virtual reality sports gaming.
