About
Queen of treasure isle is a simple, small-scale metroidvania that mainly consists of bomb throwing and jumping.
You can retrieve the treasure hidden in various places and return home in a balloon when you are done.
There are some strong queens waiting for you on the island, but you don't have to fight them. If you are not confident, avoid them.

This is a phenomenal game. It really scratches that metroidvania and puzzle solving itch while being a relatively small scale game. It's dirt cheap - please play this game.

The game starts kinda slow as you steadily gets upgrades. The treasures are... something, sometimes you get it out the gate sometimes you gotta perform Celeste red expert tech that takes 50 hours just to retry if you fail, and its just for ONE red treasure. Makes sense ngl cuz if you lock an ability behind a relatively hard challenge some ppl would despise that but personally if you put 100k behind that I would give a 11/10 pls i need money for gambling Also kinda sucks that it is unlikely you would be able to know how to befriend queens especially due to 99% of mobs in this game hurts you and all of them will make queens mad (except for the mobs that actively try to kill you of course(maybe some exceptions(help its been 10 hours whys there more))) I got more to talk about so hope you enjoy this extra wall of text so the way secrets are hidden sometimes its subtle (misoriented tiles) sometimes its right in your face sometimes its based on vibes (a room with traps and hazards but actually has nothing for example, makes people think somethings missing) and the fact that many of them you dont even know existed cause you aint got the upgrades to see them yet. so anyways gobou is a god artist good game can be improved (its in early access anyways so expected) please add separate binds for menu like celeste ty also a separate bind for a bomb downthrow can be added but idk if thats a good idea
Full of secrets, fun movement tech, and adorable, endearing characters - I'm already really digging this game.
Jam-packed with stuff to explore. Really love the wordless nature of the game, opting instead for explaining things in a visual way. It is a tough game but fair (those darn spikes though!). Tons of boss fights, things you can miss, new game plus that doesn't waste your time. Overall, really enjoyed it, can't wait to see what the dev will add next and what the final product will look like (which is hard to imagine as this is already of substantial quality and well worth the price)
For the price, you get a dense, funny, wonderfully animated metroidvania with suprisingly complex movement tech and, depending on your level of madness, already a huge amount of content. Absolutely recommended
extremely fun and stylish game. very satisfying to explore and try different things/route to see what happens and discover new animations. highly recommended to play as blind as possible.
SUPERE COOLE GAME....,. it's got great animation, which is expected with gobou, the music is great and sets the tone for all of Windy's little adventures. one of those games where you can play it how you want to play it. SOUNDS SUPERE COOLE TOE MEEEEE???? there's a lot of little things within the game that gave me some giggles, and its core mechanics with the TNT are really fun. Play the video game and get all the endings
This game is very good at activating the weirdo part of my brain that La-Mulana does, and has a lot of obscure secrets and alternate ways of doing things that keep the feeling of confusion throughout in the best way. It's in early access but as far as I can tell the game is basically all there and updates are mainly bug fixes and balance adjustments. I'd be happy for any new content added as well as more than satisfied with what's there now. Very cool (hidden?) gem!
GOBOU is a name best known for being Atlas, carrying yume nikki on their back with beautifully fun sprite animations once a year with fervor and regularity. They bring the same vigorous expression and talent for charming characters into this game wonderfully! Even though it's clear English is not a language they're fluent in, they've gone out of their way to create a WORDLESS ADVENTURE GAME where pictographs and character gestures inform you of everything going on as you play. It sounds like nonsense, but they're so especially skilled in this art that you understand everything going on with minimal effort, and there's no need for translation or language settings. The game's core is complete; there's fun, snappy movement mechanics and challenges, with combat as a secondary threat preferred to the thrill of overcoming obstacles. I may have only played for an hour, but I hugely enjoyed the open and waypoint-free way the game exposes more of itself to you as you play. To avoid spoiling too much, I met one of the Queens early on, and she gave me an item that completely changes the way I approached the levels... Only to threaten that I'd better not upset them from now on. The fact that I felt compelled to not do anything to upset them speaks volumes, to me, of the charm and communicative skill gobou has in designing this game and story. The low asking price is absolutely worth it, if only to see what one of the internet's best sprite animators has finally decided to do as a big public project.
