Poor Windy has come to search for the treasure hidden on the island. The queens who protect the island are not afraid of her as long as she doesn't do anything unnecessary.

This should be the next Void Stranger, La Mulana or Animal Well But really, it's the first Queen of Treasure Isle. A wonderful game that deserves a much, much wider audience
The fact this game is the famous animator gobou is reason enough to buy it! To talk about the actual merits of this game, it's very much a traditional-style adventure game where your main goal is to collect all the treasure of the island and escape. The game itself relies almost entirely on pictures to convey meaning, so a HUGE amount of the game therefore relies on experimentation. This experimentation is pivotal to your success on navigating the island. Initially, it appears all you can really do is meander around the island, creeping slowly with an endless amount of explosives and rocks, the secret is, the main protagonist is secretly an ancestor of a long lineage of ninja archaeologists! For the sake of the review, let's call our protagonist Lemeza-chan. Lemeza-chan is surprisingly nimble. You can throw from various angles as well as in midair. If you throw down while in midair, you will gain additional height. Your bombs aren't just for killing monsters, they can also propel you to greater heights and to help speed you along! Secretly, Lemeza-chan isn't actually a plodding, careful explorer; she is very much capable of running (she just doesn't want to unless forced to). Once you master bomb jumps, the island journey truly begins to open up, and you are very strongly incentivized to prod at anything that looks suspicious. The ruins on the island are fraught with secret walls, hidden rooms and switches, and as an explorer it's your job to utilize Lemeza-chan's ninja instincts to help her find all the treasure! I have no idea just how much content is in the current state of the game, but given the version number and the fact it's still in early access, there's far more meat to this game's bones than meets the eye, that's for sure. I STRONGLY recommend this game if you're hungry for a metroidvania that relies almost exclusively on player skill and inquisitiveness to proceed.
Do you like games that you can sink your teeth into for hours on end and then come away with not feeling like you've really fully understood? Do you like games with amazing pixel art? Do you think that things like "random walls that can be destroyed that give no indication" are actually sick as ♥♥♥♥ in games? then this might be your new favorite game ever.
This game has potential. Charming pixel art; lots of secrets; weird movement tech. However, this is marred by an unfortunate QoL decision: the save points are *very* sparse. When I last quit this game, I lost two hours of progress, because the alternative was playing 2+ more hours to reach ANY save point.
When it finally clicks what kind of game this is, you're going to have a strong response. I, personally, was dumbstruck, that anyone would even attempt to make a game as deeply dedicated to this particular design concept. By embracing the game design concept I dare not spoil in such totality, this game is beautifully designed to be incredibly cruel to a very very specific type of person. When the moment arrives, when you too realize what this game is, and what it wants from you, how will you react? I think life is easier if you learn to make peace with your failures.
The charm of this game and the passion of the developer really captured my interest and made the experience of this game really enjoyable! Simple controls may feel tight, but it blended nicely with the platforming of this game and still lets you cheese some of the obstacles you come across if you're willing to experiment. Boss battles can be frustrating due to their chaotic behavior at times, but I enjoyed the challenge and like that there can be use for every equipment you find in your exploration. And as a metroidvania game I think it does a good job at giving the player enough information to realize that they can come back to this area later after finding equipment or giving hints where said equipment can be used. With all that said, this game is in Early Access and may feel rough in some parts, but despite that I'm really looking forward to seeing some of the planned content being added or new details introduced!
This is a delightful and challenging (though not at all punishing) Metroidvania with a great aesthetic and a lot more depth than it may appear to have at first glance. Highly recommended.
This game is great! I enjoyed the way the game teaches the player through item pickups and images similar to Hyper Light Drifter. I enjoy the varying paths you can take in the game, although I could see how for newer players it may be easy to get lost or stuck at a challenging spot too early.
めっちゃ探検してる感じがします。 隠しアイテム、通路満載でファミコンにあったグーニーズを思い出します
La-Mulana except you get to look at cool gobou art instead of looking at stupid cave man speak for hints.
