About
In Queen of Dark, combat is based on three key elements: your level, your ability to dodge, parry and so on, and your playstyle when facing a battle – whether you choose to be more aggressive or defensive, or prioritise magical or ranged attacks.
All combat mechanics affect both players and the AI, as each enemy has different stats, reaction times and probabilities, and a unique playstyle, making every battle a challenge that requires different strategies. But it’s not just the players who adapt; the AI also adapts dynamically, ensuring that every battle feels fresh.

The kingdom of Arzamor has been invaded by the armies of Soletania thanks to an ancient power, the Agma Ofium, which causes the gods to become mortal; this has led to dark demons re-emerging and unleashing creatures from the ancient world.
Without the protection of the gods, the world has become a hostile wasteland where humans have been forced to flee their homes or fight wars they could not win.
The gods have bestowed power upon a handful of knights to reclaim the lost territories and find the Agma Ofium to restore order.

Find or seize equipment and weapons from your enemies, and maintain a varied arsenal to ensure your survival and allow you to adapt to different challenges. Obtain minerals from ore deposits or enemies, and upgrade your weapons at the forges you’ll find throughout the world.

Possibly the jankiest game I have ever played. Certified Jank City. Every aspect of the game oozes with jank. It is made by the jank, lives in it. I was able to jankily defeat a single monster that looked like an NPC that ran up to me and just stood there, letting me kill it. The game said to pick up a weapon from the chest you spawn by, it gave me a shield. The game said to buy a weapon from the shop you spawn by, the weapons cost 2500 gold of which I spawn with zero and that NPC guy from earlier dropped 10.. The combat was just terrible which involved me holding a shield up, punching the air, and shooting the single arrow that I came across. After about 5 minutes I wanted to virtually kill myself. Jank.
It’s unusual to see such a bright and clean visual style in this kind of game. Feels odd at first, but then you start to appreciate how refreshing it is.
Kudos to the devs ! After remarks about upgrades that would benefit the playing, they patched in quality of life upgrades in a matter of hours. Wow, excellent response, many thanks to them. Accordingly, I recommend the game, but hope the dev keeps on updating the game to fulfill its potential.
After a few hours you start to realize how much deeper the game is than it looks. 7 damage types, runes, interactions - you can actually build something instead of just using whatever drops. Yes, the entry barrier is high, but that’s exactly what makes it engaging
Really nice optimization. You can focus on gameplay instead of fighting your FPS :)) Like it!
Played a lot of hardcore games, and this one definitely has its own approach. Not a souls-like copy, more like an experiment with similar ideas. What I liked most is the non-linear design -you can go anywhere and find your own difficulty curve. There are some rough edges and odd moments, but the mechanics and performance make you want to keep digging deeper.
The game looks bright and calm, then quietly breaks your face. And you know what? It actually feels good.
The map isnt huge, but it’s well designed - plenty to explore, different enemies, and a good sense of freedom. Doesn’t feel linear game...That's what makes the game stand out
