This game seriously reminds me of my childhood. My brother and I always played RTS games against each other and I always used to lose. I convinced him to play with me after a few days of practice... Finally got my redemption thanks to Purple War!
I'd love to recommend this game but can't. On the pro side this is finally another take in the classic RTS genre, similar to Warcraft 3. However, there are too many negative points that will hopefully be fixed. Graphics: + Looks coherent. Not mind-blowing but good enough for an RTS - Sets a graphics card on fire at 720p that rendered Starcraft 2 in 4k/60fps Sound: + Nice music + Good unit responses that add to the atmosphere Campaign: + It exists (somehow) ° 15 maps for now, more to come ° Facial animations only in the last cinematic - Every campaign starts pretty similar so that the first 3 of 5 maps for each race feel recycled - Tasks are boring "destroy the base and kill the enemy" objectives - The presentation of the story is confusing and inconsistent, cinematics are non-skippable - Every map can be won by simply holding out and overrunning the enemy with one or two big waves - Maps are small and uninspired - The voice actors in the campaign sometimes sound really bored. Also, it sounds like there are only two (one male, one female) actors for the whole cast which sounds pretty weird - I don't know who thought that hero death resulting in immediate failure of the mission is a good idea but it's not. Especially for inexperienced players this penalises using the heroes and getting used to their abilities. Together with the bad path-finding this is straight up annoying because heroes get stuck on their retreat quite easily. Instead, players are incentivized to be kept in the base and do nothing because normal units are enough to win Gameplay: + Three races with slightly different approaches and some unique units ° A lot of "inspiration" from other games, e.g., the elves borrow the building mechanics from Protoss. No groundbreaking ideas but a lot of stuff that has worked well in other games - Pathfinding is a nightmare. The units get stuck all the time - Small nitpick: Left shift can be used to queue build orders but not right shift Conclusion: The game is still in a very early stage. All of these problems are fixable but in the last 3 months few have been fixed. If you want to try this, the free-to-play version might be okay for you but I strongly recommend to wait for some major patches before you buy the DLCs.

Как Warcraft, но в мультяшках
Servers are always down!!!
Unit controls feel very clunky. Unit micro is near impossible in high supply fights. Better off sticking to sc2. Best of luck to the devs
Варик, конечно, лучше... Но для бесплатной стратегии норм)
These guys suddenly goes F2P and no refunds for us that stupidly gave them money ages ago because it looked good. So ♥♥♥♥ you guys, i'm never touching this again, wasn't even that good to begin with
