Reviews
Nowadays your really need friends to play this game, but you really don't need more than a crew of three. Four to Five is ideal though. Very engaging and fun, along with just being rewarding and entertaining. Well worth the cash.
Joe, if you're out there. I am truly sorry.

i really wish this game had more content. its so fun. like id love a generated map that changes from run to run instead of the current static one and way more content and cool stuff on many of the currently purely aesthetical planets. id pay premium for this game but with 10x more content great game and really a one of its kind.
I like this game, played it with a full party. I was the scientist, it's a very fun role. Some other roles where not as fun or as engaging sadly. The game is kind of a loop right now. The planets don't have much to them. It's fun for a quick few sessions. I'm excited to see what new things will be added to make it more exciting.
This game really could use a tutorial that actually teaches you how to play the game. The existing one is pretty useless.
actual great game, to my dismay i cannot find anything quite like it to get my fix now
Only took 2 years but me and my "professional" crew completed the main campaign. Really good game honestly, the actual game is around 12 hours long (At least for the main campaign) Lots of content and work put into this game, give them your money if you want to have a confusing, tragic, heroic, and high quality game experience. Bring your friends, it's more funny. But most importantly, turn off core safety and eject core for a little bit of trolling.
Pulsar provides a really fun 8-16 hours of Star Trek flavored Co-op goofiness. It has some jank, it has some issues, but you can see the immense potential the game has. Get some friends together and explore the galaxy! I wish the community behind the game was larger/more active. The Class System works well, but more should be done to give Captain a reason to exist (or combine Pilot and Captain). Walk-able planets should also be expanded a bit more to add more flavor. Overall a good multi-night experience with friends, certainly well worth the 20$ asking price. Has it's issues but it has more heart and visual style than almost anything else available for a game that costs less than 40$.
fun game, if you are good at programming the AI they often perform better than human players. Needs more depth, maybe add mod support or new planet/mission mod support. Would be nice if it was easier to swap ships. I also never left my ship to attempt to take over another, seemed too risky, maybe that is easier with a larger group of humans
Honestly this is my favorite game of this sub-genre of all time. I've tried other games where you and other people crew a single ship but all of them are these arcadey/combat focused games. I love the universe and how immersive it is. I love that despite how many hours I have in this game I am still finding new events and places. And I love how you can go through most of the game without firing a single shot.
