- Shadows look awful & are ghosting & flickering. Game looks way better without shadows, but if you turn it off, shadow anomalies are also invisible. - Can't choose attachments for your guns, you only find guns as they are, you can find or upgrade to rarer versions but still with fixed attachments. Since you can't pick attachments only a few guns shine. So many guns are useless because of the sight/scope. Some high lvl guns don't even come with a sight, long range guns with no scope, only few guns having access to a good scope, many sights or scopes are useless too. -RUBBISH PvP style of EXTREMELY UNFUN gun "balancing", 50%+ of guns "balanced" into oblivion turning most guns into worthless filler. Why are some of the more rare & expensive higher tier versions of guns WORSE than the BASIC versions? The 626 T-AR, 2 round burst fire at an extremely high firerate, has 3 variations: The basic common version is by far the best, has a good scope, the next tier of T-AR is the tactical version that gives you a suppressor but removes the scope making it useless, just use any full auto gun like the common Tec-9 for CQC. The most expensive & rare version has a Night Vision scope, that is just so awful & unusable making it the worst version. Instead of just making enemies & maps more difficult, many devs like Helldivers 2 etc. make the game harder by making guns trash & not fun to use. Like the Night Vision scopes, any gun with it is completely useless dogsh*t despite being rare & very expensive, the devs "balanced" it by making the scope housing EXTREMELY THICK and the sight inside EXTREMELY SMALL. The thick housing looks so damn ugly too. NVGs aren't hard to get at all, you can easily get NVGs long before you find guns with NV scopes and with NVGs you can use any gun at night already, why do NV scopes even exist? The 626 T-AR, could've been one of the best but the devs "balanced" that too, despite having a proper scope, the front iron sight still comes up to almost the center of the scope, making the scope hardly any better than plain iron sights, and a MASSIVE LIABILITY, why would anyone use it when there are other guns with clean scopes without the "balancing". THE LEGENDARY .50 BMG & bolt actions "balanced" into oblivion, why is the standard 5.56mm round is not only good at CQC but still better for long range sniping? The 5.56 is the highest velocity round, the least bullet drop, with high fire rate & big mags. While all the biggest rounds(.30-06, .338, .50 Cal) travel slower with more drop? And also usually bolt action too? Try using the big snipers at Dead Bridge(long range map). The common 5.56mm guns like the M-TR14 just deletes everything, close or long range, low recoil, highest velocity, hardly any drop, with high fire rate, just keep clicking & everything dies. Meanwhile use the big caliber snipers, with lower velocity & more drop, by the time your scope comes back down from the big recoil, your tracer already dissapeared so you can't tell where your shot went, plus having bad scopes it is impossible to hit anything at range when you have no idea where your bullet landed, oh and you have to rack the bolt after each shot too. They even nerfed the highest tier guns, the rarest & expensive ones, the semi auto .50 cal guns giving them worse handling. Like the Kruger .50 Auto, comes with a 1x Cobra sight, so it is a CQC weapon but takes ages to even aim, despite having a laser, when you stop running to shoot, it actually takes the same time to center the laser & hipfire as ADS, which is 3 business days, so stupid, f*ck the devs PvP style of "balancing". The even rarer Kruger 50-B that actually comes with a scope, not even a good one, the lousy ACOG with has the inaccurate chevron reticle and lower zoom, WHY does the highest & expensive tier of gun get "balanced" with the lowest tier of scope? PvP style "balancing" people. Another one of the most expensive guns in the game, "The Assassin" the only suppressed sniper in the game. A STEALTH SNIPER THAT IS USELESS AT NIGHT, THE BEST TIME FOR STEALTH. Comes with a sniper scope with the thinnest black lines that are INVISIBLE at night, even during the day time if there are too many dark colours on your scope. Why is the highest tier of guns getting the lowest tiers of scopes? This is the same scope on the cheapest sniper in the game. Worse is that the digital scope exists that is the best & has a reticle is bright and can be easily used at night. - So after all this EXTREMELY UNFUN PvP style of "balancing": I've played many runs on hardcore permadeath, all you need is some basic guns you can get in 10 mins from the start & upgrade them. Just use 2, the Tec-9(high firerate SMG) & M-TR14 (3 round burst AR with scope). You can delete absolutely anything in this game EZ at any range with these 2 common basic AF guns. Devs already "balanced" the fun & usefulness out of most of the higher tier, rare expensive guns but we don't even need them anyway. So what do we have to look forward to or work towards? If the devs read this I'm sure they'll "balance" the basic guns now instead of making all the guns viable, good & most importantly fun to use. RIP Tec-9 & M-TR14. - The Icing on the Cake: one of the traders greets you with "Gender is an illusion". F*ck off, what kind of f*cking greeting is that? Nobobdy f*cking asked. I came here to buy stuff to go kill more people & take their stuff. Why every game even indie games now want to shove more woke sh*t & more politics down our throats, just let me enjoy the f*cking game. I skipped through most of the dialogue but I'm sure there is more cringe woke & political sh*t there.

Project Silverfish is basically a Scalie version of S.T.A.L.K.E.R., made by "essentially 2 developers", with stylized graphics that probably run on a toaster and still look amazing while showing you people shoot each other over a glowing rock 800 meters away. If you're familiar with S.T.A.L.K.E.R., you'll feel right at home here; explore an impressively big and smartly designed "Zone" with weird creatures, weather effects, anomalies, artifacts, and different factions to work for or against. With that in mind, the 2 devs have pulled off a more immersive and still enjoyable game than many others I've seen try. It may not sound like much, but this game manages to be both easy to get into and still highly immersive, punishing, and actually scary, with a variety of playstyles, options, difficulty settings, and more. As for the actual gameplay: You play as an Inheritor, a race of anthropomorphic lizards, and explore a large abandoned zone made up of many smaller maps and full of weird anomalies, creatures and artifacts with weird powers. You can pick sides with factions, do contracts and quests, and fight in the larger war for the zone while actively changing the power dynamics, or you can go solo and fight your way through the zone alone while paying off your suspiciously high debt. Either way, you'll do lots of looting, inventory management, fighting people and horrors, running away from both, and most importantly, exploring weirdly beautiful and terrifying places. While the pathing of some creatures could do with some work, the way creatures and squads from the different factions roam the zone and dynamically start fighting and influencing each other without your interference makes the zone feel much more real than any game I've played in some time. The game also features a longgg list of different realistic guns, calibers, gear, and things to find and stumble upon naturally, making sure you'll find new things even on your 3rd time in the zone. Even though it's still actively being worked on, it already has more than enough content and weird anomalies to fascinate you for a long time. If you like S.T.A.L.K.E.R., Scalies, exploring, way too detailed and realistic guns, being very scared, or just wanna have some realistic gunfights, Project Silverfish is more than worth a shot, and I can't wait to see what the future holds for it.
The game difficulty is completely out of whack with the latest update. Perdition (The main "Stealth" access route to the northern part of the map) has now become so impossibly difficult that you have to cheat to get through it. I'm not saying it's "You just need to git gud" levels of hard, I mean it's literally impossible you NEED to turn on godmode. There isn't a strategy when there's literally INVISIBLE enemies, 500 anomalies that take half your health on one hit, an INVINCIBLE TELEKENETIC ENEMY THAT ONESHOTS YOU, and to top it all off like 40 enemies spawn all at once in a tiny ass room that you NEED to pass through to progress. The game needs a severe rebalance until then it is currently unplayable without cheating. You'll be wearing the highest tier armor in the game and get domed by an enemy in pitch darkness without any indication where the shot came from, enemies can see through foliage like its transparent and at times act like they can see you through walls. Some anomalies are EXTREMELY unforgiving, several of them have no outside radius so you can't tell you're near one until you're dead and reloading. The game has horrible light balancing when you have multiple anomalies, light sources, and enemies all acting in the same scene it'll go from being completely black screen to being flashbanged for no reason at all. Some other issues: -Every character in the game is voiced by the same person and they all sound like they're so bored and uninterested it really takes you out of it. It's like an angsty teen did the voice acting. -Faction interactions are a joke they'll just push their way through each other and then literally explode into a firefight. There is no finesse. -Missions are 90% fetch quests -Weapons feel off, they lack the punch they did in prior versions. Buckshot to the face no longer kills an enemy outright. -Artifact hunting feels less like hunting and more like you're playing metal detector 9000, they don't spawn in meaningful ways and you'll find them in the strangest out-of-the-way areas. There is no artifact that you can't find in any random anomaly, they aren't tied to the anomaly in any way. -Inventory management feels clunky and unintuitive at times, there's no sort by weight/name so you'll be in a firefight digging through your inventory trying to find something and die. -Anomalies will literally SPAWN ON TOP OF YOU -Enemies will literally SPAWN ON TOP OF YOU or they just magically gain knowledge of your location, the game AI acts like you are the center of the universe and you're the main character in all their stories. Overall the game needs some serious time in the oven, I know it's version 0.4.5 but its currently just rage-bait until the balancing gets done.
Game is very good but very incomplete, just stay far far away from the discord. I got insta banned from it with no warning and no rules broken after being completely friendly for weeks for ❄ reacting someone that was going on about 4chan and how i need to step it back because i dared to question without insults the people ranting about nazis when they saw a pepe in an inoffensive meme. people also got triggered by a billions must die meme. the admins are also angry 24/7 and more than willing to abuse their power. just a very toxic and unpleasant enviroment. Im a leftist but i can only describe the project silverfish community as woke, it was like a different planet. I dunno if siris is like this but his fanbase and the people siris put in charge of it are.
Other than the trans furries it's on it's way to being a decent little indy game... but not $30 good rn
Maybe scaleussy is actually pretty freakin sweet
Good stalker like game. Graphics might look basic but exploration, itemization, AI, combat, factions are all well done. Thumbs down for pronouns in character creation.
Absolutely phenomenal game in the vein of Stalker Gamma. I'd definitely consider this over gamma depending on my mood
Still needs a lot of work and more content, but what’s here so far is really good
