Grow your town, trade with others for resources you can’t obtain on your own, face challenges, and uncover the lost history of the planet.
A day in Project Rebearth takes a day in real time. this means it is a game you play casually over multiple days and weeks, rather than finish in one afternoon. There is no combat. As your city grows, you unlock new features and gameplay mechanics in this world that never sleeps.
Choose any spot on Earth to start your settlement,
Build in a variety of biomes, each with their own resources and challenges,
Gather materials and manage your inventory to keep your inhabitants happy and your town thriving,
Discover lost knowledge to expand your capabilities and unlock new possibilities,
Make choices that have long-term consequences for your settlement,
Launch expeditions to search for ancient artifacts and piece together the true history of the world,
Travel across the globe to see how other players are rebuilding their own societies,
Project Rebearth takes place on a full-scale, 1:1 replica of our planet one thousand years into the future. You decide whether to start your settlement in the burning deserts, frozen polar regions, or wild temperate forests. Each real-world location has its own style, building materials, natural resources, and specialized production chains.
Explore familiar and unfamiliar corners of the Earth. Get inspired by the creativity of other players, build freely in the sandbox mode of the game and export any location as a high-resolution map. Perfect for map-making or integrating into offline adventures like TTRPGs.
The world of Project Rebearth is persistent. The game is a relaxed, long-term game that is not meant to be rushed through in a weekend. Your farms keep growing potatoes, your woodcutters keep producing lumber, even while you’re offline. Play at your own pace, whenever it suits you.
Send out expeditions to discover artifacts in the world. Little puzzle pieces that might hold the key to discovering how the world ended up the way it is now. What lead to the world being as empty as it is? Can you, together with other players, unravel the story of Project Rebearth?

Reviews
I love this game, from its premise to the community behind it. It has a lot of potential. I wish it to succeed, however right now i have to admit i am frustrated. First, I want to mention the good things about this game: a free world open to creative minds to shape, either alone or in an alliance. The one-world premise, where all players build together, is really the biggest strength here. The developer cares, communicates, and tries their best to advance the game and fix bugs. That being said, development is slow, so people should keep that in mind. The priority seems to be bug fixes and performance improvements, which is good. However, the game still struggles with both of these issues. The server can crash or repeatedly kick you out every few minutes. During European evening hours, when most people are active, the game can become unplayable, as actions are not recognized by the server and are rejected. Many of the performance issues have appeared as the world has progressed, with players’ cities growing larger and more complex. Because of that, I cannot say that I am fully confident there will be a sudden improvement anytime soon. That being said, the developer is clearly committed to the project. So, my final two cents are this: Do you love creativity in building, do not mind the 2D top-down view, and can tolerate not always being able to play effectively? Then give it a chance. The community is strong, stands behind the game, and there is active RP going on as well. I will Update my Review when things have changed.
overpriced not worth it
The game is both overpriced and worth it. How so? Initially, it looks flat (pun intended). But the more you play the more it offers. Couple of days in you get to build a market, which gives you access to global market of goods. Few more days and you can afford City Hall which also adds more to the game, then there is a University that allows expeditions and more. And the idea of building new settlement in a place of your real-world town, in a post-apocalyptic massive MMO world, feels fresh. Everyone is playing on one and the same Earth-size server. I wonder when all the globe will be covered! So, there is not much content if you need one-evening game. It tend to be repetitive, you will uncover new content occasionally every couple of days, and it sloooooooow. Yet, I already have 30h in game and few more on planning my city outside of the game - 5 days after purchase. As a stress-free game of imagination and stable growth it's worth every penny (and more). I can image there is a point where you produce so much that you loose a purpose... but I'm far from this point so I don't care atm. The dev is responsive, chatty and active. The community is great (kudos for creating rebearthnews website, writing lore for my town opens up another level of joy). It basically is a good place for millennials, I suppose :D The game is currently struggling a bit with GPU optimizations, though. But it's still relatively new, so I believe this will be addressed at some point.
Is the whole idea of the game cool and interesting? Yes. But it runs so ♥♥♥♥♥♥ even when you set it at the lowest settings, I would personally hold off from buying it even if its on sale to wait till its optimized.
Is it really slow when you start? Yep. But after a week, you start to get into it and when you have built your 3rd town, each in diferent bioam, you can really get into it. I like to finis my day, start my gamming session listening to music and managing my towns. Being part of the Discord server is also fun. The demon is there, give it a try. It is definetly not perfect but I can see it becoming something amazing with continues active development.
It was positioned as being slow, but that really does not do justice to just how slow it is. I bought the game a month ago and have logged 74 minutes into the game - not because I don't want to play, but because it takes a week or more to collect enough resources to actually do anything. Project Rebirth is an offline idle game. You build a couple of things and then you come back in two weeks to build one or two more things, wait again, etc. etc. I like the idea of the game, and I enjoy the little amount of time it lets me play, but I hate that I have to wait 2 weeks between play session just to get to play for 5 minutes.
One of my my favorite parts of the day these past few weeks has been opening Project Rebearth after work to use up the day's resources to slowly build up my city. $18 is a little pricey compared to other games but it is honestly worth it if slow burn builders are your cup of tea.
Lagging
This game takes forever to even build a tiny town, if you wanted to make a big city it would probably take over a year. Overall, its not worth the money and progression takes forever.
Good game, but because of frequent maintenance or server overload, it’s very hard to play. In 15 minutes, it kicked me back to the menu 4 times. In some areas, it’s impossible to build because they aren’t counted within the city’s boundary. For example, I placed the central market, and on the outskirts there was a small island — about half of the island isn’t available for construction, not even for roads, even though the island is within the city zone. At this stage, I would not recommend this game because of the frequent bugs, server issues, and other technical problems.
