About

GO ON AN ADVENTURE
Project: Gorgon is a 3D fantasy MMORPG (massively-multiplayer online role-playing game) featuring an immersive experience that allows the player to forge their own path through exploration and discovery. We don't guide you through a world on rails, and as a result, there are many hidden secrets awaiting discovery. Project: Gorgon also features an ambitious skill-based leveling system that bucks the current trend of pre-determined classes, allowing the player to combine skills in order to create a truly unique playing experience.
DEEP DEMO!
Not sure if an exploration-centric MMO is for you? Try the free demo! (See link above.) The demo lets you explore a large part of the game and learn dozens of skills. Your demo character will be capped at level 15 in each skill you learn. When you purchase the game, you'll keep your demo character and all restrictions will be lifted.
AN IMMERSIVE WORLD
When you play Project: Gorgon, we want you to feel as if you’re immersed in a whole new virtual world. Rather than trying to manage this with just graphics and excessive backstory, we’ve designed the game with dozens of gameplay features that make you feel like you’re really there interacting with the world, such as:
Each non-player (NPC) you meet has their own goals and interest, and reward players that choose to be their friend.
Shopkeepers keep inventory, so you can buy items that other players have sold to them. Want to help out new players? Sell your cast-off items to the shopkeeper in the new player zone and watch the new players go to town.
If you are on fire, you can jump into a lake to put it out. This type of mechanic can have a subtle effect on your strategies, especially when you are fighting a fire mage!
You can inscribe messages onto items, write books, and even leave notes for other players. Make your name as an in-game poet, or pronounce your greatness to the world!
UNIQUE EXPERIENCES
In Project: Gorgon you kill monsters - a lot of them - and you take their loot. In order to keep the experience fun and interesting, we’ve developed unique combat experiences to keep the fights feeling fresh. The loot is randomly generated, monsters have unique abilities, and dungeons have puzzles, traps, and terrifying bosses! The combat skills are entirely free-form. You can learn as many combat skills as you want, and use any two of them at the same time to create your own personal “class.” Project: Gorgon features dozens to choose from, including:
Battle Chemistry: Create huge explosions, inject yourself with mysterious mutagens or program a pet golem!
Unarmed Combat: Grapple and control enemies using a situational-aware combo system that varies based on where you are and what day it is.
Animal Handling: Tame animals and train them to become ferocious fighters. Then breed your best and sell their offspring to other players.
Necromancy: Seek out corpses and graveyards to raise an undead army. No graveyard around? Well, there are always the corpses of your friends.
Cow: Got turned into a cow by that boss? That sucks. But learn some kicks and how to stampede, and you'll be right back out there kicking grass in no time!
That’s just a few! There’s also Sword Fighting, Combat Psychology, Staff Fighting, Sigil Scripting, Mentalism, and more.
Player Choices are important in Project: Gorgon. You can learn as many skills as you want, but sometimes power comes with downsides. You can become infected with lycanthropy and gain access to very powerful skill sets. As a lycanthrope, you are able to roam the world in a pack or as a lone wolf; however, when there is a full moon (which is tied to the real-world lunar calendar) you are stuck in your beast form. There’s no cure for lycanthropy.
You can become a Druid, which will give you great power, but you have to vow to drop everything when there’s an emergency involving nature. It could be a forest fire, a monster invasion or even a pesky insect. Nature never lets you ignore your duties, ever.
New opportunities come open, but others will close. Can you bear heavy burdens in exchange for greater power?

I really wanted to like this game.. But, the janky aspects of playing it in field deteriorated the really positives. Also, don't make 'sexual favors' as a part of your auto level system. Since auto levelling is a subscriber service, devs should steer clear of such stuff if they want a broader base.
This game deserves more attention, its a breath of fresh air from current mindless MMO market. There is no hand holding you are your charicter do as you please craft fight dance do nothing hang out. Community is very engaging and helpful. Brings me back good old days before dailies and instances teleport lobby based gameplay. The world is very well designed and very fun to explore. Quest and skills are not labeled there hidden you have to find them and i like it. No its not unreal engine 5 but that doesn't matter if truly give it a chance if your into rune scape original UO EQ Meridian59 then you wont care either you will see the how great the design is. If your into flashing icons tell you what to do map markers daily quest to mindless fill your time then no you wont like it. If you want remember what was like back late 90's early 2000's with little new age flair then give it a try.

Sh** got old and boring long before end game. After EQ 1 died , then EQ2, then AC and Star trek. Youd think theyd learn to not make the same boring crap with ♥♥♥♥ graphics and character models / armor models. But here we are and here i am uninstalling another flop of a mmo. Do us all a favor and dont make another game.
game crashes to much
its like you really want to like this game, but man it just feels unrefined. like someone placed all the npcs in sqaure "minecraft" box houses with no style or attention to detail. its all very janky. like if a child got a good enough in unreal engine to make a game. the armor styles and shaders are also absolute terrible, even at high levels i have yet to see a character that has nice looking armor. that being said, I played this game a lot because the classes leveling and different skills you could get were very fun. but I simply could not get past the lack of content. if they took this games leveling system and put it into a game that doesn't look like it was made in two weeks in unreal engine by a child, then it would be very solid.
This game wants to be Runescape, all i manages to do is be dull.
TLDR: Play on Dreva server, community issues mentioned in some posts I have not seen on Dreva. Game is Very wide and if you are a "meta build race to the end" style player the game will hold you back. Game is not for everyone, but worth a try on FREE Demo (limited to a single toon) to see what people are describing for what they do not like. Pros: 1) Everything is interconnected, for example, you smell flowers and gain skills that are linked to other skills. 2) Game does NOT hold your hand. 3) You can find something to do in game for most all game styles (raiding is not a developed part of game). 4) Very helpful community. Cons: A) Everything is interconnected, for example, you may become a spider for certain skill points. B) Game does NOT hold your hand. C) You can get swamped in the minutia of what to do and this can turn into an ADHD treadmill. D) Has graphics style that some do not like. Undecided: The storage in game is rough at start, you have limited storage from certain NPCs in each zone. You gain favor with the NPCs to gain storage. There are locations in each zone you can access storage for that zone, but....this is NOT the same as a "bank" in other games where you can store everything. Given how game seems to give every drop a use, your storage space fills up and you are forced to make decisions. The game does not hold your hand, it does warn you. This can cause players who come from games where the NPC tells you to get THIS from THERE without any consequences for screwing up an issue. You can enter a wrong number on starter island in main quest and end up in a tundra dying of frostbite (but the NPC did ask "are you positive this is the number?"). On flip side, you can get out of the tundra easily, but game is not going to tell you how, but the player base will. The bosses will curse you if you fail to kill them (some comical, some harsh), you can remove the curse by killing them or using items or spells; this puts a throttle on YOLO play style with dungeons. There are MANY builds to play with, you can get sucked into all the different ways to play. I found it confusing as a new player to know which build is best for what. I do not view this so much as a bad thing because you have to advance in many skills due to what the game calls "synergy" levels, these are levels that grant skills points in other skills but do not count to the experience total (you level a cow and get skill level in cheese making, for example). You do find that certain builds are easier to be good at certain roles. Project Gorgon fits for certain types of players with looks and style. The issues I have read about in other comments with community have not been witnessed by me on Dreva. If you left game due to some community issue, give Dreva server a try.
I bought the game.
I ignored the drama with the dev, Seems to me like people that broke rules got banned and came to review section to complain. That's all I am going to say on that. No point in arguing me I've talked to many ppl and my opinion won't change. The game is very good. Community is great and always helping each other. I started playing on the server "Arisetsu". It was the first server and as a result it is the most populated server. Get the game on sale, get hit with the nostalgia. I'm attending my first poetry jam today!
Best old school MMO that is out there by a mile. Anyone that was hoping for Pantheon or MnM to be good should be playing this instead. There's a little bit of a learning curve in the beginning but after it's a great experience.
a bit janky (compliment) and probably helps if you already enjoy the idea of a lower stakes mmo that's fairly chill. Just take things easy and have a fun time doing whatever the heck you wanna do. It's not a perfect game and it isn't trying to be, this is the kind of mmo that you'd have expected to see out of like 2005, slower paced, community centric, completely unconcerned with rushing you into endgame metrics, and most importantly, there are no wrong choices This is a strange game to be sure, but it's got a lot of heart to it and seems like it's designed from the ground up to just be for people that don't shy away from classic mmo jank who are also willing to have some patience. It seems explicitly designed for exactly the audience it wants to cater to and no one else (also a compliment) Do not approach this game thinking you're going to get a WoW or FF14-like experience. This is slow and methodical, relax and enjoy the fun ride with a surprisingly nice and helpful community! basically a 10/10 game where you can choose to allow yourself to be cursed into a cow and simply continue to play as a cow from that point forward, and it's a viable playstyle?????? nice???? coool!?? HELL YEAH EVEN?!!??!
