This game has had me HOOKED for the last 200+ hours. If you like OSRS, just do yourself a favor and play this one. You won’t be disappointed! (I’ve met a few others with over 2500 hours in game) I cannot recommend this game enough if you’re itching for that early 2000s nostalgia we all had as kids. I have played every second on Steam Deck with my own Steam input layout. Absolutely zero issues. The dev team is very active and helpful, AND they cater to the player base. When Ethyrial fully releases, it will be this generation’s MMORPG to rule them all. 11/10 Recommend.
I don’t recommend. Feels empty, soulless and uninspired. Appears to be using AI for their art generation. They recently posted AI mockups of World of Warcraft tier sets for their in game armors. Direct copy with some AI failures on each.

It's fun I guess, need more time to test.
Amazing game, amazing dev team amazing community!!
Something magical here, needs to grow and develop, very promising.
Great engaging game that keeps you hooked through a wide variety of activities including mob farming, dungeons, and a heavy focus on crafting. Been playing for a few months now and developers are very active and willing to help troubleshoot any issues you may encounter. Discord is very active with a friendly, dedicated community behind it! Highly recommend giving this game a shot if you are into that older school MMO vibe, you wont be disappointed.

Game was funny -at least untill you leave starting island(noob zone). I love leveling many professions and that part was really good, rest is not. If you wanna describe this game with one word - it would be 100% - EMPTY. Empty and poorly made world, 3-5 people online at the same time, annoying quests, really bad performance and problems with login
Ethyrial is an awesome little (now) indie dev mmo, that had a rough start. A lot of it's inspiration comes from the likes of Runescape. With 100's of hours worth of gathering and crafting, to hundreds of mob types and places to get your kill on. There's even a wildlands area to get your pvp on over rare resources out in those areas. As of 5/21/26, they fixed the Movement bug on zone in, and the game has gotten just that much better. From the 20+ classes you can choose from at the very beginning, you have the choice to play how you want. If that's alone or with a group of friends, It's all up to you. But it's an mmo type, grouping is always going to be an easier time for you! Note's that don't change MY personal opinion, but could influence yours. - The graphics of terrain is blocky, with a bit more polygons than Minecraft, and not all of the terrain is smoothed over from the dev transfer, so locations can sometimes be a bit wonky. - There are sometimes issues where mobs become permanently invulnerable do to leashing over terrain, the daily restart fixes this, or leaving a dungeon map and returning. - Weapon crafting doesn't account for wisdom and intelligence classes that use melee (There are drops specific to these classes, but it's not entirely the same) And sure you can use str/con weapons in place and still do near the same damage but in a pvp setting, this isn't acceptable to me. I've said my piece on their discord though. -Error on load in isn't an actual error and needs to just be waited through. Clicking multiple times after error screen further errors the login and prevents play. - From the dev transfer there are still areas of the game that feel slightly empty, or half started and have a way into them, but no way out. Making it for a fun experience in using an unstuck or rune to tp out.
its little nice rpg lite primarly got hooked on the class with dual wielding claws next thing you know a couple of hours have gone by will definitely revisit
