Great twin stick shooter adding something new to the genre. Very challenging in hard difficulty, really enjoying it so far!
**As per the agreement: I did get a free copy of Project AETHER for review purposes.** As someone who usually tends to avoid the twin shooter, I have to say that I was rather impressed with Project AETHER. It's a short game, but one with lots of replayability and also a fair difficulty selection if you are new to the genre or want to challenge yourself. For the asking price, it is more than fair and definitely would recommend Project AETHER to anyone who is a fan of the genre. Will be posting a full review of the game soon, but as far as initial thoughts go, my compliments to the creators and thank you for a lovely game. ^__^
An enjoyable twin-stick shooter, Project Aether has done the impossible (or improbable) of making me kinda want to try for scoring in a shmup (especially on my first playthrough), with the addition of wave based rankings a la DMC. Blowing up half the screen with a chain of EMP explosions is immensely satisfying, as does dashing through a sheet of bullets. Playing on hard, a few stages in, I'd say the game is pretty well balanced, the game expects you to use it's mechanics, but compared to other shmups you may or may not be familiar with, the difficulty feels about right (importantly for me, it doesn't feel too easy, I desire at least some [strike]pain[/strike] challenge)
Tight controls, satisfying combat (using the EMP blast to chain explosions is particularly fun) and good visuals make Project AETHER one of the better bullet hell games I've played. Especially for newcomers to the genre!
A fun twin stick shooter.
Genuinely a good game with a fresh take on the twin-stick genre. The challenges are fun, and the difficulty level is just right.
This game has a classic twin-stick shooter feel with a lot of fun options added in. The boss fights are great.
Fun and engaging. If you're in the mood for some arcadey twin-stick action, look no further.
"Jogo de navinha" bem genérico não é feio história desinteressante gameplay repetitiva e sem apelo algum.
