About
The soft-ware initially presents information about SYMPTOMS OF INFECTION.
This presentation is crucial to approach the initial phase of DIAGNOSIS, TESTING and DISPOSITION:
During DIAGNOSIS,
Examine the patient visually
Interview them
Run tests
During TESTING,
Allow the LAM-ORB Mainframe to process tests
Initially users of the soft-ware will be of low-priority to the Mainframe
You may request to EXPEDITE processing to the Mainframe, every click counts
During DISPOSITION,
Make sure you identify all SYMPTOMS OF INFECTION
Make sure you indicate the finding of infectious patterns or pathogens in the tests
ATTENTION: Some patients may present comorbidities or symptoms that not necessesarily represent an underlying disease.
Every and all infected patients, no matter the nature of their infection, must be held in the ISOLATION WARD for further evaluation and treatment.
While common infections like bacterial ones are widely understood and well-know across both the medical field and the world population, some infectious pathogens and diseases remain unknown.
And while the discovery of new pathogens and diseases is by itself of major relevance to public healthcare; a small fraction of unknown, sometimes horrifying, infectious pathogens and diseases are studied in the background by both public and private institutions like LAM-ORB.
When the ISOLATION WARD reaches full capacity, a DISINFECTION PROCEDURE is scheduled. Full information of the disease and treatment indications are given, and the procedure is performed on the patient.
The soft-ware tries to emulate as close as possible the experience, technology, and findings of the LAM-ORB organization's research during the 1970s. Rumors about the reason of the sudden disappearance of the organization include human experimentation, chimeric pathogen development, and secret medical research.

Feels like stumbling across an old piece of software we weren't supposed to find
This game has sent me into a rabbit hole of the ORB world. Nobody has heard of it. No followers. No reviews. I mean, it was hard to determine whether ORB-LAM's procedures were based on real history or not. This is a brief game connected to a ghost of an (ARG?) story, and one that had my friends and I enraptured until the very end of the game. I feel like I've stumbled upon a mystery that's just begging to be looked into. This game is simple and horrifying, and I still don't think I've discovered all of its details. ORB developers, thank you for making a game that makes me want to make games. I'd love to hear a deeper explanation of the ARG story, if you'd be willing to share.
Neat, short, and sweet little horror game. I saw BigGaming64 (youtuber) cover this and decided to play it for myself before I could see him get to the ending. I really like it! The only thing I don't care for about it is how loud and high pitched some of the sound effects are, but I suppose that can be remedied by turning down the volume on my computer. There aren't any things that are solely based on sound cues from what I have seen. Hope to see more stuff like this from this developer!
A very short game, in its current state it feels more like a demo rather than an early access. It's got some nice ideas that it executes very well and it pulls off its horror theme without being too in your face about it. Symptoms can change overtime while you're currently looking at a patient. First time they look fine, then you double check on them and they've now suddenly changed. Makes the unknown horror a little bit more unknown and unsettling. Three things I actually disliked about the game other than the length, one is the fact that you cannot mess up the diagnosis. It's very scripted. All of the patients and symptoms are scripted and you will not be allowed to mark wrong things in your paper. Second thing that I disliked was you don't actually diagnose these people. You go through menus, click on a thing and the game immediately tells you if something's wrong. It'd be nicer to have a more in-depth tutorial with actual scenarios where you got to see these symptoms for yourself, and then the game would stop hand holding and cut all the "This patient has X" in the menus. Third thing was kind of infuriating rather than a dislike, the game has a saving feature that I didn't even know existed until I finished the game, it was in the pause menu and I didn't need to pause the game since things generally only moved once you did stuff, and pausing isn't necessarily a thing you get to do on shorter titles like these. It made it seem like there were multiple endings by giving you a few choices to make throughout it. I didn't realize this and when I got to the end, there were no saves for me to go back to, and the beginning of the game went through quite slowly, so I gave up trying to get the other endings. This game definitely deserves more attention, and it definitely has potential to be something better than it currently is.
I have to say, pretty good short horror game. I am excited to see what will be added in future, but the build is an interesting teaser. I really hope others support this for further development!
Pretty fine. For $3.50 I can't really say that it's bad, but there are way too many loose ends. I've beaten the game three times in my current play time (1.1hrs) and I have seen everything. The game just doesn't stick around long enough for any of the unexplained things to become interesting mysteries, they're just mysteries. Hopefully we will see more interesting things after early access, or they give us some answers.
I love this. it is like you tailored it to my interests, haha. its pretty disturbing in just my favorite way. I hope you can make more content or lore or something, you really deserve a lot of attention.
Tom Poe Tom Poe Tom Poe (All jokes aside, although it's length, it's a w game)
Maybe it's just because I found it pretty early after it was added to Steam, but I'm surprised this game hasn't caught on more already. The low-fidelity graphics give you just enough to be scary while also letting your imagination fill in the gaps for things that you can't see too clearly. I'm excited to see where this game goes and what these devs do next!
this is the closest a game has ever been to having me ♥♥♥♥ my pants without being jumpscared, plenty of piss tho, 26/10 absolutely would recommend i need more
