Sleeper hit and goated game
Such a fantastic immersive sim. I can't believe I didn't play this until this year. The story is pretty solid, and there's plenty of side missions you can do. There's multiple ways to get things done, and creativity is rewarded. The foam bolt caster was a favorite of mine for dealing with a certain enemy type, along with opening doors. Shame we'll never get a sequel, this universe deserved a follow up. Story- 8/10. There are multiple endings for the station you can find and paths to go down. The game's twist was really well done even when I had it spoiled for myself years ago. There are plenty of hints for observant players. Worldbuilding- 10/10. So much history to the world and characters. Players who want to read and listen to audio logs will find it plentiful. visuals- 7/10. The Neo Deco style is great, really reminiscent of bioshock and a bit like pre-war Fallout. Gameplay- 9/10. Many different weapons and gadgets to use/combine in unique ways. I mainly used the human abilities for my neuromods with the exception of the mimic ability for my first playthough. Eventually I'll do another and experiment with more Typhoid abilities. Only not a 10/10 because weapon swapping is a pain when you're reloading(Animation is forced to play out), and also climbing on the gloo gun nodes is wonky. Overall Average- 8.5/10.
