I really wish more games tried to tackle the Dungeon Crawler genre. There's a huge amount of potential for it. This game only slightly shows it. But doesn't handle it well enough for a recommendation.
I am 32 years old. My ex-wife and I have a daughter together, and we adopted our son together. Both are now 4 years old. When we were going through our separation, I felt lost and unhappy. I was self-destructive. One day, I was so angry with everything spiraling out of control that I punched a concrete wall in a moment of overwhelming emotion. This resulted in breaking my fifth metacarpal in my right hand—the hand I worked with, played games with, and used to carry my children to bed—the hand I desperately needed to ensure I could continue providing. Upon learning the severity of the self-inflicted damage, I became almost suicidal. Keep in mind that just a few months before this, I was the happiest man, with no history of depression or anxiety. I had never experienced anger outbursts, nor was I the type to break down and cry, but I was in a tough situation that truly prevented me from seeing the light on the other side. With nothing better to do, I looked for a game I could play WITH ONE HAND while recovering. Somehow, I stumbled upon this game and read some of the comments. I decided it was worth a try... I must admit I didn't beat the game, nor did I play as much as some of you. In fact, I may have played this game for only a day or two. That being said, after doing so, I had a new joy and hope for life. I managed to leave behind the pain and suffering that had been thrust upon me. I could experience the joy and happiness of other people. I relaxed for 5 ♥♥♥♥ minutes listening to this music, long enough to realize that I would be okay. After realizing this, I turned off the game and went back to work. My hand hurt a lot, but I was motivated. I stopped feeling so sorry for myself and became the father I needed to be at that moment, not the weak boy I was behaving like. Today, I am close friends with the mother of my children. We don't fight, argue, or say hurtful things to each other. We are parents and friends. Now I have 3 children. My third child is, wait, ALSO 4 YEARS OLD. The woman I am with was going through a very similar situation at the time of my separation, and we just unexpectedly stumbled into each other's lives. We have been dating for a year and are very happy together. Moral of the story: you never know what life has in store for you, and if I had given up when all odds were against me, I wouldn't be where I am today. This silly little game helped me realize that. Thank you.
Simplistic and redundant but with potential. Great multiplayer dungeon game for youngins (kids not yet into their teens). I bought it at the discounted price of $2, which is well worth it but I'm not sure I'd recommend it for more than $5.
Feels like a mixture of Skyrim and Fable, best played in VR imo
This game is way too overpriced for it's unpolished, glitchy and buggy nature it seems to be stuck in. I see the devs are constantly coming out with patches, which I really appreciate, the game may have some potential, but for it's current state, I can't recommend this to anyone.
This is very, very bare-bones. Advance, get run at, swing or shoot, kill, collect, repeat. It could be an interesting skeletal frame-work for a real game, but as of October 2018 it looks to be in its infancy. Worth about $2, imo.
2/10
Brief
Prevent The Fall is a simplistic dungeon crawler game. Get a quest, enter the area, do the thing, and then leave through the mystical ability of a menu (key combo also available). This game is fun enough to relax to on your own when you have that itch of just wanting to do a quest or two and do some dungeon crawling.
Pros
- Simple Gameplay - Skills Tied To Weapons - Levelling System - Good item variety w/ flavor text
Cons
- Needs more tilesets - Needs more enemy types - Some bugs (Cannot complete exploration quest for example) - Cannot see full map, only minimap available
Additional Comments
I do not recommend playing this game for extended periods of time. You will easily run into the same quests and enemies repeatedly, making it less fun. This game is better off in short (<1 hour) bursts of playing.

Would have used "neutral", if that status exist. But too be honest I tend towards not recommended. (Not reviewed in VR) The game itself plays like a technical demo from years ago. Basic gameplay is dungeon crawling. You start in a tavern, with a chest on the left, a merchant on the right and an innkeeper in front of you. The innkeeper will give you quests and you can access the options via the dialog. The merchant will gladly take your loot in exchange of gold. You can also purchase supply here. Use the chest, if you want to store your equipment for future use. There are only a couple of dungeon types. A sewer, castle, mine and a few variations of them. Quest types vary from killing one or two bosses, loot a specific item or 3 ingredients. It gets repetetive after a couple of dungeons. Enemies slightly vary and are +- 2 levels of the character. You can play it in coop (LAN or online), but do not expect to find many open groups, not crowded enough. Easy to get 100% though, as you only need to successfully loot about 50 dungeons and will get all the other achievements on the way. Grab it, when it is cheap.
