Discounts
Every price cut of more than 20% we have observed, in each market that quoted one, with this game's chart position on either side of it. These are episodes, not a model: a sale is one event, and one event cannot tell you what the next one will do.
Reviews, worldwide (the counter carries no country): 1.86/day in the week to Aug 28 → 1.86/day in the week after.
For scale, across Steam · Top Sellers · Brazil over the last 30 days: the 26 chart moves that followed a price cut of more than 20% went a median of 7 places towards #1, and the 2,400 moves with no price cut behind them went 2 away. One store, one chart, one country — it is the only place we have enough observations to say even that.
Prices outside the United States have been collected since 6 August 2026 and chart positions since 19 July 2026, so a cut older than that has no market to compare and a market that joined later has no history yet. Nothing here is converted between currencies.
About
Inspired by SWAT 4 and gritty police TV shows, Police Stories is a fresh take on top-down shooters with an emphasis on tactics that forces you to make split second decisions. Neutralize criminals, rescue civilians and defuse bombs in Single Player mode or Online Co-op. And remember - shooting first is not an option!
Unforgiving and tense, each mission tells a story of two police operatives - John Rimes and Rick Jones, filled with infiltrating gang hideouts, rescuing hostages, making arrests and other life-threatening situations.
The Surrender System allows you to apprehend the suspects without resorting to violence. Fire a warning shot near them or engage them in melee combat - those are just some of the ways you can make them submit.
Issue commands to your fellow cop Rick Jones. Make sure to use him wisely - and who knows, he might save your life in return.
Randomly placed criminals, hostages and evidence make every level run unique. The placement changes every time you restart, leading to new interesting situations and opportunities.
As a law enforcement officer, you will have access to end-of-the-line police equipment, such as under-the-door cameras, door blast charges and many others.
Various types of lawbreakers, from small petty criminals to well organised gangs and terrorists. Each type has not only unique weapons, but different behaviour and shooting skill.
Complex Tactical Gameplay: Try not to get spotted, don't waste bullets, regularly check your surroundings and make sure to take criminals down quietly.
All your actions are scored in real time. Playing aggressively won't get you a high enough result to start the next mission - so keep that in mind!
Co-op. Complete mission together for better scores and more fun!

Reviews
If there was an option to give this game a mixed review, I would. It's not a bad game, but it is deeply flawed, which is something that needs to be changed in the future. The worst part is that it's so frustrating that I couldn't even finish the last mission. Just felt like I was wasting my own time. Both friendly AI and enemy AI suck. Hit boxes are inconsistent and the story is pretty generic. I was hoping it would be an anthology of different scenarios involving the police, but the writers instead wrote a tale about some wild conspiracy involving the police department purposefully creating crime for their benefit, as if that hasn't been done many times before. The equipment they give as well as its customization kinda sucks too. Why can't I have a gas mask to go along with my tear gas grenades? Why can't I have a side arm? Why does my heavy armor not do anything for me? Why can't I have a helmet? There is so much missing from the game that could make it a good but its just not there unfortunately. I do like the art style of the game and like the characters sort of. The gameplay is fun at times, with the bomb missions being my favorite. That's really some of the only redeeming qualities of this game imo. I think it could be better. I hope the sequel makes improvements.

The game is nice and all, especially fun with a friend, but there's several parts that completely ruin my immersion. Suspect armed with a firearm is rushing towards you? You get a penalty for shooting him, nevermind that making a split second decision dictates between life or death for both you and your partner. "Unauthorized use of weapon" my ASS. This is especially miserable in early game where you don't have any gadgets to stun the targets with. You can bash them sure but the range is minimal and often requires you to chase them, potentially risking more than you could have by finishing them off. Open a door and see a guy in full armor holding an AK? You have to either try to intimidate him or wait for him to start shooting you before you're allowed to kill him without getting a penalty. This is often simply not worth the gamble because you or your partner's death equals to an instant restart unless you're at the end of the level. Hell, you even get penalized for simply being damaged by an enemy. Guy with an uzi is aiming at you? He can survive 3 or more gunshots and finish you off whilst having nothing but clothes on himself. You with a bulletproof vest? Die in 1 shot. You get shot and happen to survive? Your aim gets worse, enemy gets shot? Shrug it off and keep shooting with pinpoint accuracy like nothing happened. Realism is cool when it applies to both parties, selective realism ruins immersion and makes the experience worse. Stealth is absolutely meta in this game and going in guns blazing is simply never a viable option, and the game even encourages you to shoot your gun against the wall to intimidate targets (which by the way almost never works, you'll learn quickly that making noise is a no-go and intimidating targets just with your voice is useful only to stop civillians from running around), a bit sad considering they give you upgrades for your guns to shoot better or deal more damage, yet a suppressor is never an option for any of your guns because of course, shooting alerts enemies, hell, they even give you the riot shield. I thought this was police stories, not SWAT stories. If the experience was this frustrating in co-op, i can't imagine how someone would end up doing in single player. TLDR; Worth 20$? HELL NO! Worth 4$ on sale? Absolutely.
A guy runs at me with a gun. I shoot the guy. I lose points.
Hotline Miami if the main character was a cop
Nota Geral | Overall Rating
Police Stories has an interesting premise, a top-down tactical shooter inspired by SWAT, with quick decisions that determine whether you leave the mission alive or not, but the execution falls short in several areas. It's the kind of game that works well in short doses, but quickly reveals its limitations once you realize the content doesn't keep up with the concept. An honest game about what it sets out to be, but one that falls short of exploring the full potential of the formula it chose.
Jogabilidade | Gameplay
The concept of split-second decisions, shoot or don't shoot, works well in the early moments and creates real tension at every door you open. The system of commanding your AI partner to breach doors, throw flashbangs, and cover angles has interesting tactical potential. The problem is that the variety of situations runs out quickly, the same types of encounters repeat from mission to mission without much variation, and the AI, both enemies and your partner, is inconsistent, sometimes reacting smartly, sometimes making decisions that make no sense and break the tactical immersion the game tries to build.
This is the game's biggest problem. The campaign is too short for its price and for the concept it proposes, and there isn't enough content to justify long sessions. There's no robust progression system or procedurally generated missions to extend the game's shelf life, so after finishing the main campaign, the urge to come back is practically nonexistent, even for those who liked the initial premise.
Enredo | Story
The plot is functional, following the routine of a SWAT officer dealing with different incidents, hostage situations, home invasions, trafficking, but it never tries to be more than a pretext to justify the missions. There's no meaningful character development or memorable twists, it's an episodic narrative that serves its purpose without leaving a lasting impact.
Visual
Visually the game is competent, but nothing memorable. The top-down perspective serves its functional role well for tactical decisions, and the indoor mission environments have a reasonable but generic design. There's nothing here that stands out technically or artistically, it's a visual that goes unnoticed.
Audio
The audio is the weakest part of the package. The gunshot and command sound effects are functional but generic, and the soundtrack is practically nonexistent, which takes away some of the tension the game tries to build in critical moments. It's an area that clearly received less attention during development.
