Some call it a glorified screen saver, but they lack imagination. Mod community is thriving. RP by yourself kids! It's fun!
3 mil Zombags against an assortment of WW2, WW1, and 18th century infantry... need i say more? for real though, got it for 3.50 CAD. the bar isn't high at that price, but i still think it's a blast.
I got this on sale for $3. I didn't expect much, basically just expected UEBS with some newer stuff like slightly better graphics, framerate, new units and maps, etc. -It barely has any new units. -It's missing a LOT of features like the ability to choose how slow time is in slow motion or the ability to split an army into smaller battlegroups without creating an entirely different army. -All of the sounds are recycled from UEBS with a 2 or 3 new ones here and there. -It costs $5 more than the first UEBS. -It's over 30GB larger than the previous UEBS. -It's been over a year with no updates. I really did not expect much from this but after roughly 20-30 minutes of playing, it feels like a lazy attempt to re-market something that was successful while doing the bare minimum effort to make it new, to the point that this game lacks basic features the first one had. This game doesn't feel like it was made with a level of fun or passion in mind, but more just out of sheer boredom and a "why not see if I can get a little more money" mentality. I'm genuinely refunding this for the $3 just because of how lazy and incomplete it feels for such a simple concept.
It was cool for the first 2 battles then immediately felt like i've done all there was to do in the game. I found myself wanting to play Total war instead to get some epic battles going. If there had been better movements in the AI and more building based maps it might have been more fun in the end.
A thousand chickens meet a thousand wiccans. A thousand gallons of blood flow free. You don't understand just what you're missin' A thousand thumbs up from me.
its fun because it has really large battles, really big maps, and the modding community is flourishing. i especially like the star wars and lotr mods.
