[b]Too Many Bad Beats[/b] This game constantly defeats me in all in confrontations when I'm a heavy favorite. I feel like the deck is stacked against me. I can accept variance of some kind, but this game is ice cold. I get defeated in these confrontations every time I play! For instance, in one night I was in the following situations at some point: KK vs QQ vs JJ AA vs JJ A♠K♠ vs J♥9♦ 77 vs 6♥3♥ (really? the AI calls an all in raise with 63!?) I lost [b]ALL[/b] of them. I had the the best hand every single time. The odds of losing ALL those situations is 246 to 1. The clairvoyance of the AI is uncanny. It's almost as if the AI is cheating by looking ahead at the cards and basing its decisions on unrevealed cards. I've played this game on multiple nights and have been eliminated by a bad beat every time I've tried. It's too bad because the rest of the game is fine. The music is nice and the announcer is amusing.

Für mich als Poker-Anfänger hat sich der Kauf schon jetzt gelohnt. Für Neulinge die Interesse haben Poker zu lernen gibt es die Pokerschule in der man alle Informationen bekommt. Angefangen beim Ablauf und den Grundlagen über die Bedeutungen der Körpersprache bis hin zu den einzelnen Wahrscheinlichkeiten der Hand. Auch die Minispiele sind ganz gut um ein paar Grundlagen zu lernen. Über Karriere und Turniere kann man dann schon mal ausprobieren ob das eigene Spiel besser wird. Gerade der Karriere-Modus ist witzig mit dem Wild West Setting. Unterm Strich ein gutes Spiel.

a good start to learning Poker.

I have enjoyed this game. There are no in-game ads. So far, the play seems good to me. Some poker games simply offer "gim-mes" to help you win. The in-game ad poker games often seem to me {IMHO} to "allow" you to progress to a point, and then you really need to purchase "something." That does little to offer the challenge that poker should allow a player to experience. This game seems to be straight-up Texas Holdem. I only have five hours plus in it at this point, but I have won only one tournament. Still feeling my way around. If you just want to play Texas Holdem, this is a great game. Game mechanics (GUI, usability) are well above average for this type of game. My limited counting of hands, etc. seems to indicate that the card shuffles are random and you get a representative number of playable hands, etc. The AI does a good job and plays like you would expect~ i.e., not going all-in at odd times, and making reasonable bets. The AI does not just pull crazy turn cards or river cards out of the air. You can tell I'm not a serious poker player~ I just like to play now and then. The price was well worth it to me (especially on-sale).

This is a Pile of shat, the game wont even launch, I have Windows 10 and enough disk space. I even uninstalled the game 4 times and reinstalled it, I restarted my computer, nada do not waste your time on this peice of shat.

Habe seit Jahren kein Texas mehr gespielt und zum wieder reinkommen ist diese Simulation mit gut programmierten Gegnern für kleine Geldbeutel eine absolute Empfehlung!!! Danke Devs :-)

The graphics are really bad but if you can look past that, you get an accurate Texas Holdem simulation with reasonable AI (single player only). The audio is also bad but you can just turn that off and listen to your own playlists instead. I really like the tournament mode, where you can work your way up from "no stakes" to high (depending on your success). Ironically, this game will not try to extort money from you (unlike most modern games): You buy it once and that's it. When quitting the game, the last window won't disappear until you left-click (some folks apparently didn't find that out). All in all, this game is worth the money if you "just wanna play poker" (or if you want to learn it).

Flawed and cheats.

Old, bad, and buggy, a definite pass! I have original CD release of this and it shows, but it did run in Windows 11. It uses raise button even for first bet in post flop actions.
